Hello friends. I have been following this thread since mains result was out. I have a query. Please help me if you can.
I am a chemical engineer by profession and was working in fmcg sector. Resigned from the company and gave CSE and qualified it last year till interview but couldn't make into final list. This year again I gave but unfortunately couldn't even clear pre. However when I was jobless I filled up ibps exam this year and luckily I cleared both pre and mains stage. I had filled the form under huge pressure from family. I never liked private job but just for one year work ex I joined it and have always dreamed to go into bureaucracy and if can't then do PG course like mtech and phd and become professor ultimately after post doc somewhere. However situation never turns out like you want always.
After mains result my family is pressurizing me to join this job by performing good in interview. I was unaware of the profile of PO so i googled many websites and interacted with lot of aspirants from other forums. Almost everywhere people have given horrible description of the job and talked about 'tremendous' pressure, insults from public and clerk, monotonous job etc. Though I am not afraid of workload but if I can't take out time after whole day job then all what I have prepared for CSE may go into vain. I am 24 and of UR category and therefore understand concern of family very well but when everywhere all are talking bad things about PO I am bit confused about this.
Please someone guide me regarding job profile, work description, in hand salary, working hours and with honest review of this job so that I can decide what to do finally, prepare well for interview or not appear in it. My prospective seat may go for better and suitable candidate.

Friends.. I have a query...
When last time SBI recruited clerks for its associate banks, they followed the following procedure for FINAL SELECTION....
FINAL MARKS = 235 (that is 200 marks written test and 35 for interview)
And the Written Exam CUTOFF is 122/200 for OBC and GENERAL, 14/35 for interview...
As it is clear, Candidates who have scored 122 or above were shortlisted for interview..
The FINAL SELECTION CUTOFF is 162/235 for OBC and 165/235 for GENERAL..
So the person who scores 122 in Written Exam and even if he scores 35/35 in interview....Final mark = 157/235.... he cannot be in the final list...
IS THIS POSSIBLE IN IBPS PO TOO...?
