Agar sirf job hi karni hai... without any further preparation for any exam... toh ssc aur PO almost ek se hi hai.. PO join karke padhai toh bhool hi jao... fir mat kehna ki ab SSC ka form bhar deta hu
Hi future fellow bankers. Need your suggestion here. Should I go for a straightaway resign from my present company or should I wait for the joining date to be announced by the Indian bank. Two things I am skeptical about here are : 1. Medical examination of bank 2. A further remote posting at some unknown rural area( presently i am working as an assistant manager in balco, korba, chattisgarh)... Please suggest your valuable inputs. TIA :)
Courses one can opt for while working in bank.(both from india and abroad)JAIIB CAIIB(basic ones), DTIRM ,DIBF ,CEISB ,NISM(MUTUAL FUND N CURRENCY DER) IRDA(LICENCIATE ASSOCIATE FELLOW) FRM, PRM, CDCS, CITF, CISSP, CFE, CISM, CS, CA, ICWA, CFA.
Banks like sbi, pnb n bob canara give good incentive and reimburse exam fees if you take one or more of these courses. There is a circular to give such employees a suitable department and work. Other banks may as well. One can easily bargain a nice posting if you are qualified. Some of these courses permit you to add credentials as suffix or prefix to your name. Bank job or any good job mandates constant updation of knowledge. Hope it helps the interested ones.

Just drop by to give a piece of info for the IBPS PO 2016 aspirants.
Disclaimer: Though am in no way related to IBPS examination body and am not claiming my information as genuine, yet I felt ( as a 'used to be' aspirant) to share the heads up in the benefit of other candidates. This is not to create any panic or whatsoever in young aspiring minds, just a tip off.
Now comes the main point. It is known from various sources that Manipal University have partnered with 16 banks recently for imparting PSB-Manipal PGDBF course(much like Andhra Manipal or Syndicate Manipal), and the fate of IBPS is unknown from this year onwards. It is said that IBPS will serve as only an exam conducting body and the rest of the protocols will be completed by Manipal and PSB members.
I know, much like me, many are out there who don't want to spend 1 year of life in a jailed environment of Manipal spending 4lacs for getting a job, but dear friends my advice is "Don't leave a single Manipal PSB form unfilled", incase IBPS gets dissolved, the only thing you will have in your hand is a PSB-Manipal programme(If you really want to join a bank and not for the sake of Govt job). There will be different exams just like the present scenario Syndicate Manipal, Bob Manipal, UCO Manipal etc.
A new banner has been kept in my campus(pic attached), giving way to the probable discussions regarding IBPS PO's future status.
