As you might be knowing , this year the mods will not be taking part in the formation of the regional dream teams( apart from judging) and we have to form one ourselves for Hyderabad.Let this thread be place for all our nominations/introductions etc.

This is the result of some of the members of the Hyderabad Dream Team of 2011 ( I have not included some names as there was no update from their side, please do add if any information of anyone I have missed out is available)and it was an awesome experience being a part of it.Most of them made into great B-schools and the others like me who couldn't ,well there should be something better in store

This year, the rules have been tweaked a bit, and here is how it goes:

How to make a nomination post
1. All the points mentioned below should be posted in a single post. You can edit the post any number of times before the deadline.

2. Team should compose of 16-20 members excluding the mentor and/or coach of the team. Having atleast a mentor or coach is mandatory for every team.


Nomination goes in following format:

a. Team Name ( Yes, you have the liberty to select your team name )

b. Basis used to form the team ( can be SB/ City study group / Verbal group/ any other )

c. Name of the mentor and/or coach

d. Team Members' name ( along with link to their mock scores if possible) - Should have 1 captain and 1 vice-captain

e. Why your team should be there, i.e. What's the USP of your team
f. How will others be benefitted from the team

@[321191:chinnugadu] Hey, actually I dont know if there is a problem with PG , but my first post seems too jammed, i mean all the sentences are too close to each other.Tried editing, but no change.Anyways, the rules are almost the same I guess, atleast as far as the nominations go:

Yeah. That is true. The lines do seem to be too close. Anyway here is my nomination. Please do re-direct me if anything else needs to be added or deleted.

I really do not know whether I am even eligible to nominate myself into the HDT'12, let alone be a part of the team. But, well, I loved the Dream Teams, they are a great source of inspiration and give the push to perform.

My mock scores are: 84.11, 95.4, 96.2, 96. 87, OA 80..in the last 5 AIMCATS.

Quant is my weakness. Speed in calculations are always a hindrance. English is my strength. Being a voracious reader I love English and am comfortable with VA.

My name is Pradyumna. This will be my 3rd attempt at CAT. Got 89% the first time in final year of B.E..CAT 2010. Later inspite of good preparation, I ended with a very very shameful 73% in CAT 2011 but got 97% in XAT and missed call by a whisker 0.81%. But, I love CAT. It helped and is constantly helping me to rediscover myself. After a very confidence shattering season 2011, i think it is the pleasure in that wonderful journey that is pushing me to tread this path yet again. How, where and when I will see the other river bank is secondary, but till that far I can confidently say that this journey will again be rewarded with rich dividends in the form of rich friendships, constant activity and a lot more.

Please do not kick me out of here. 😃 I know the stalwarts here and their level.

Hey Mohit, good to see you putting in efforts here :)

Disheartening to see no entries here... unless there is something else happening in someother thread.

Consider me available for any kind of help that you might need. Invite more people to be a part of this group somehow... or mail admins asking for a way to do it... or see how other regional teams are made. As per the trend, Hyd team is little slow in the start but picks up when it matters the most. And it DID contribute a lot in grand succsess of the members last year...

Few pointers in which i can help:
Mentor people with their GD/PI and other preparations
mentor GDs if people are available on Skype
Essay preparations

Please note - though GDs are no more a part of selection process, I believe the bare minimum for a person to sit thru an interview is that he should be good in GDs.... afterall that is what a good interview turns out to be :)

Good to hear from you, as always.How is life there in FMS ? :)

btw, there wont be any team from hyderabad this year, the rules have changed for the regional teams and we couldnt make the cut.the members of KDT/UDT are kind enough to allow me to post there

And needless to say, we will surely keep bugging you once the CAT date is near and during GDPIs.

Waise to begin with, any tips for the last month before CAT?

I guess your posts would encourage people to post here more often! :)

There is no 'official' team, but yes this can be the place for people from Hdyerabad.And as Rohit Bhai has said, we are generally laid back in such matters and pick up pace towards the end. 😃

Anyway, you from hyd huh? Were you a part of HDT - 11?

i hope all the puys frm hyderabad get an awesum percentile and we will have a pg meet when we do that.

puys, i dont know where to post my feelings... so i hope no one minds if i post it here... as the hour approaches, the adrenaline starts rushing inside all of us... and when the hour arrives and when we try to open the site, chances are that, we may not be able to open it... then finally after trying really hard, if we are able to open the site and click on the result link, it says, "CAT 2012 SCORECARD"... and then it asks for ur registration number, email, and asks u to type the special characters... we do all those and then it starts loading... THESE ARE THE MOST TENSION BUILDING MOMENTS... a wide range of thoughts start flowing in our minds... and then finally the result is available... it may have gone well if we are lucky or bad if we are unlucky... i just hope that all of us make it in the end... :)... all the very best to everyone on PG... 😃
