I am currently pursuing MBA first year
and I am stuck with finalising HR or Finance..
Is there anyone who can guide me with pros
and cons of both...and skillsets required for
both...
I have done Mech Engg and have work
ex of 2 years in marketing of Insurance and
opening trading in International Commodity
exchanges....
I came here to do FINANCE but HR is
more attractive ..Please Help

If you are more of numbers guy go for finance. More growth opportunities.

If you like to speak to ppl, very compasionate, like solving ppl problems go for HR. However industry prefers schools like XLRI/TISS/SCMHRD for HR recruitments. Most other schools give lesser focus to HR. further co.s offer lower package compared to XL/Symbi. Growth opportunities limited and growth curve steep and time taking.

Finally its a personal choice based on career goals.

I think you should evaluate the demand first. What the most companies needed, Finance or HR skill. The main target is gain decent income through your skill, isn't it?
