How will the total number of ppl attending CAT affect our percentiles?

I heard that the number of people attending CAT this year is the lowest in recent times. So, will it have any effect on our percentiles? Last year nearly 3 lakh ppl wrote CAT, this year it’s around 2 lakh only.
