As we all know that CAT and other MBA entrance exams have started focusing heavily over the profile of the candidates this thread tries to answer any queries regarding developing your profile for a top B-school.
Lets get started...:cheerio:

Some of the profiles who have got calls this year(2012) is filled in the spreadsheet below:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AjH-OjtJaYnwdElKUER6Uk5uNzVPTzFveFFKdlZTbmc#gid=13

First i want to clear my query as i: have a very low cgpa of 6.0/10 :drinking::banghead::banghead::banghead:in my B.tech degree. and i think it will be somewhat tough to get to the higher 8s(almost impossible ) till the end of 3rd year and then i have to give CAT. As i think its going to be hard to get shortlisted due to my profile i think i should have some backup. :|
So i m thinking to go for distance learning courses in BCA(i m pretty interested in learning this n working in this field) and do pretty good in that and then use my BCA score after 2 years as my grad score in filling up CAT's form. Till then develop some work experience(2 years).
My question is will this score be valid for CAT, GMAT, XAT and other MBA entrance exams. Will this give me an upper edge in these competitive exams.
Is it the right step to do so????
Please help... i m in big confusion...
