I have got an admit for day mba and they told they be providing the formal letter of admission soon. have you got it. what are the other universities you have applied to.

Also pankaj to of my college mates are already doing their MBA there .. It seems they offer liberal scholarships.....

my mail id [email protected], I am the same guy who has replied to your beat the gmat forum, I have applied to u of buffalo, crosby mba, u of cincinnati, baylor mba, and my application to manchester was denied admission. i may apply to university of alberta, gisma, bath mba.

I am from chennai, tamilnadu India, 610, 3.8 yrs exp, one year in cognizant, 2 year at gulf, 7 month here in chennai. what about you? please mail me.

As far as hofstra is concerned i applied to it after discussion with my friends there the intern is very good as it is near nyc, but dont know how is the job opp. and also they offer libral sch.

actually i applied before dec.... i got a schol of 5000/ yr but dont feel it is enough..... i got admit in cincinnati, buffalo tooo... dont know wht to go for...any one have any idea .....

I have applied to Hofstra. I got a mail from them yesterday which said,

You have not indicated if you are interested in the Full-Time Day MBA or the Full-Time Evening MBA
Please choose one of the following 2 options:

1. Have your application reviewed for the Full-Time Day MBA program for the Fall 2011 semester.

2. Have your application reviewed for the Full-Time Evening MBA Program beginning in the Fall 2011 semester.

i too recieved the same query, tell them to put u in day MBA. it the standard mba program for full time students.

but sorry to say that i am not going to join hofstra, i have accepted the offer from UC cob, cincinnati.

I got a scholarship of 5 k in hofstra for gmat of 610 and 4 yrs exp

Even I received the same mail, one of my friend who applied also received , every body seems to be receiving the same mail, besides I had applied in begining of the Feb and i received this mail only few days back.. i dont know why they are taking so much of time ,2 + months ..

besides bharath did you receive any scholarship from Univ. of Cincinnati ??

ya esahihoon I recieved 1100$ for each sem a totl of 4400 $ I have also paid a deposit of 500$ and confirmed my admit. The reason y they are asking whether it is a day mba or evening mba is that there is no option in the application to say whether it is a day or evening mba.

So you seem to be interested about UC have u recieved any admit over there or do you know any one over there if you provide info about uc or if you could provide me a contact of any one over there it would be of great help.

great you received 4k+ of scholarship, had you ticket yes on the scholarship checkbox, i had ticked "NO" , i was told chance of admission decreases if you opt for one....

anyways, I have got the admit from UC, 2 months back paid the deposit and waiting for Hofstra reply, but as such UC is confirmed...

Finally you are count three for UC I found another guy in edulix for uc MBA his name is Vinay.

Iam from chennai, india. Profile: gmt 610, exp 4yrs, be 78%, prof: Electrical design eng.

Have you got I 20 or have applied for one.

Do you know any one from UC, How good is it that university.

The main reason I choose UC over hofstra and Sunny buffalo is the timing of the program and also i costed me the least. I got 5k per year sch in hofstra a totl of 10k but the fee was still much higher the UC and also the cost of living in NYK is more. The adv of hofstra over UC is that as it is in NYK you can get many inters and job opp is more and also I have heard from my friends that every on there gets a part time job. hope this may give some info about hofstra for you.

Thanks for the reply. I got a mail on 18th April from Hofstra asking if I wanted Full time Day MBA or Evening MBA and I replied back to them on that day itself. They told me that they will review myapplication, but I have not got any response from them yet. Is anyone else facing such a problem?

Fellow Indian students.. Don't ever come to Hofstra.. Not a great school at all..All the international students here are struggling to get an internship and full time jobs. The career center is a big joke. I would strongly recommend you NOT to take up Hofstra even if you have scholarship.
