Hi just got his from the HBS ADCOM:

Due to a problem on the Harvard Business School campus the MBA website is not available. We are also unable to respond to any email messages that have been sent to us in the last few days.

This does not affect your ability to complete or submit your online application as the application is not hosted from the HBS campus. You can access the application directly at https://app.applyyourself.com/?id=hbs. This also does not impact your ability to send technical support requests using the "Tech Support" link located at the top of each page within the application.

We will be sending another email message within the next few hours regarding a possible deadline extension.

We apologize for any inconvenience.

Sincerely,
MBA Admissions

On the morning of Tuesday, October 10, 2006, HBS experienced a network outage that rendered our website inaccessible for a period of several hours. We apologize for any inconvenience caused by this unforeseen technical problem.

In order to best serve our applicants, the Admissions Board has extended the Round 1 submission deadline to Thursday, October 12, 2006 at 5:00pm (EST). The HBS MBA website will not reflect this deadline extension until Wednesday morning.

Please do not hesitate to contact our office at [email protected] or (617) 495-6128 with questions.

Thank you for your interest in Harvard Business School.

hey dude,
i dont hv anyproblem in accessing their site.Nw only i created my profile.

okie - there are 2 sites to be discussed here.
the issue has been sorted out - but thoght this wud be some source of history :)

the application site (applyyourself.com) was functioning well. Absolutely no issues. It was the schools's site (hbs.edu) which was down. The folks at HBS sorted it out in a few hourse and actually extended their deadline by one day to accomodate any inconvenience caused!
