Other than the traditional courses, now a days people are also focusing on specific areas for pursuing MBA's.

Hence, I want to make this thread a guide for all the people who are interested in Energy/Environment Management in India and Abroad.

Hello

I have few leads.

MDI provides a PGP in Energy Management. This course requires a minimum of 5 yrs of experience in the field of energy/environment.

IEMR also provides specialized courses in energy/environment but as it is a new B-school, I have very little info regarding the faculty, standards, reputation, placements, etc.

SIIB provides MBA in E & E (Energy & Environment).

Please do share your info/experience with regards to MBA Energy/Environment Management.

Regards
Ravi Teja

Could you guys also give some info on the MBA programs that could be available in the US for a 12+3 non-engineering background student?

hi.. I am vivek jain and i have completed b.e. in computer science so energy management stream is good for me or not

i am actually looking for info on MBA (Energy) but get very few posts anywhere...seems m minority in mindset. m working in upstream energy sector and i am actually passionate in doing something great in energy management/security etc...ppl having similar mindset n experience please post info, statistics and all relevant data....

Very nice initiative, really appreciate.
But i would like this thread to focus on all so called non conventional sectoral MBAs( other than HR, Operations,Finance etc) like Oil and Gas, Infrastructure etc rather than concentrating only on Energy Management.

I am an electrical engineer by profession will energy management suite me
and what are the names of the colleges in which this course is available

hi ashushivesh,
there is a previous post which states the colleges in the country which provides energy management courses. As an electrical engineer, energy management should suit you, given you specialise in power or renewable energy, that does seem to be quite relevant to your stream as well. NPTI has a course in power management, I am myself a student of Great Lakes IEMR, which offers specialised courses on energy management.

The great Lakes course is not even AICTE certified and on top of that it is operating out of a temporary campus with visiting (RE: Permanent) faculty from Chennai campus.

Any updates on that ?

Is there no better alternative for this ? Like in the middle east or SG/HK etc. I am working in an MNC with relevant 28 months of (Non-IT) work ex in the energy industry.

Can't find any good alternatives in India 😞
@prafulk , yeah that is correct, the course or the campus is not AICTE recognised and we are operating out of a temporary campus, which is also the reason why we are not getting the AICTE accreditation...BUT being an experienced professional in the energy sector, you need to find out what is a priority??? AICTE affiliation OR the course and brand?

I would say AICTE certification is equally important. .down the line. .

SPM PDPU Vs RGIPT.......... which one is better?

tell me some good universities that offer this particular pgm in abroad? hw to get dr? fee??

Well the PGPM for Energy in IEMR (Great Lakes is Open). .

Who all are applying ? Worth It ?

I have 3 years of work ex in the Energy Sector in a reputed MNC

Hi @prafulk . I am also interested in PGPM at IEMR. I am thinking of applying in it. But not sure about the institue.

@prafulk prafulk im very much interested in energy efficiancy or energy management sector. How can i get a good job in this sector? I am planning to do MBA after a solid experience in this sector. How can i get an opening in this area prafulk?
