hi,
I m also looking for GMAT prep classes in singapore , I came across GMAT zone,ICON+ ,High Q score & Manhatten Review ..I m not able to find much information on which one is the best..Which one u joined? Is GMAT ZONE good?
hi aryan sorry for the late reply.i was out of the country for some time. well i have not yet joined any institute but was wondering maybe u know by now which institute is better.pls do let me know thanks manish
Hi Guys,
After some research(online and in person),I could narrow down to below 3:
-> GMAT Prep Zone
-> ICON+
-> Manhattan Review
Things I looked for :
1) Focus i.e.Expertise solely on GMAT Prep and enabling crossing a 750 score. For 750+ ICON+ claims sound louder than GMAT prep zone but the below one weakens this.
2) Testimonials(at their respective websites):
I went through these and found GMAT Prep Zone's more authentic than ICON+ reson being the data points shared
Yet to find out on Manhattan Review.Share your views guys.
Hi Folks,
I'm also in search of a good place to start on wid my GMAT prep .
Can you please let me know where you guys have joined and how good/bad they are ?
Appreciate any inputs !
Hi Guys,
If you are seriously looking at improving your scores and spending money, then your best bet would be an online prep such as ManhattanGMAT, Knewton. These are online prep courses.
I had also been looking for a prep course and came across ICON+, and was impressed by their tall claims. Aryan is right that ICON+'s claims are very loud. I had signed up for it's course only to find out it uses diagnostic tests from Manhattan GMAT(worth USD 39) and OG 12 for practice. It's class room material is nonsensical and kid's stuff. They just want to get your money by making you fall into their trap of crap marketing. I'm really frustrated, and was naive to believe that such false marketing is not possible in singapore. This experience was an eye opener.
If you really want good quality then opt for a decent online course, which is worth your money. I recommend ManhattanGMAT. I hope this helps. Good luck.
@ Donotquit,
Sorry to hear about your experience, you've got to be wary about institutes or people that overpromise you many things, if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.
@ everyone in the thread,
If you guys are looking for a cost effective way to purchase study material for GMAT, consider the local forums like Hardwarezone.com, there are many people selling their GMAT books there and it'll save you quite some money, simply do a search in their used textbook forum and you ought to find an offer - link.
