Did you go through all the explanations for the answers in OG? Maybe you just finished the books just for the sake of finishing them, without pondering over your mistakes. Just go through OG and Manhattan slowly to learn the concepts. They are sufficient. Hope it helps!

I have been going thru og 11 and also reading the explanations properly. as far as manhattan is concerned i spent a lot of time on it.

Then maybe u can do the OG 10 for practice.1000 SCs do not have explanations. So it wont be much help. U will only get mad at yourself if u get the Qs wrong. Since time is limited, just stick to the basics now. OG 10 and redo OG 11.It will build up your confidence level. In the end, that's all u need to do well.

Among lower paid workers, union members are less likely than non union members to be enrolled in lower end insurance plans imposing stricter limits on medical services and requiring doctors to see more patients, and spend less time with each.

B) imposing stricter limits on medical services, requiring doctors to see more patients, and spending
C) that impose stricter limits on medical services, require doctors to see more patients, and spend
D) that impose stricter limits on medical services and require doctors to see more patients, spending
E) that impose stricter limits on medical services, requiring doctors to see more patients and spending

The answer should be D.

The answer should be 'D'. I think i have seen this question previously in one of the Mocks or some exam like XAT/ FMS.
1. Carbon-14 dating reveals that the megalithic monuments in Brittany are nearly 2,000 years as old as any of their supposed Mediterranean predecessors.
(A) as old as any of their supposed
(B) older than any of their supposed
(C) as old as their supposed
(D) older than any of their supposedly
(E) as old as their supposedly

B is the answer. as old as and older than are both idiomatic but if the correct age of the things are not know then older than is preferred I guess. Here the age of "any--Mediterranean predecessors is not know) so we can go for B. Also supposedly is an adverb and cannot qualify Mediterranean.
This question is there in OG10
Hi guys,
please help me out with the reasoning behind this question
1. Contrary to earlier conjectures, it may be that increased atmospheric carbon dioxide as a result of burning fossil fuels would cool the globe by reducing the amount of solar energy absorbed by snow.
(A) increased atmospheric carbon dioxide as a result of burning
(B) increased atmospheric carbon dioxide resulting from the combustion of
(C) increasing carbon dioxide in the atmosphere resulting from the combustion of
(D) carbon dioxide in the atmosphere that increase from burning
(E) atmospheric carbon dioxide that increased from burning

thanx for ur help..
i go through the books u have mentioned.. and join the bandwagon as well..

and yeah.. wats IMO?. and the book u mentioned OG??.. may i have the full names plzz..

For SC, IMO depend on OG & Manhattan SC guide.

You dont have to remember rules as long as you can identify the correct answer by reading the sentence !!! If you can JUST spot the right answer without knowing/memorising rules, nothing like it !
Otherwise, join the bandwagon ;)

i would go for C. I would have gone for B , but "increasing carbon dioxide in atmosphere" as compared to "increased atmospheric carbon dioxide " , though wordy, suggests that the increase is an ongoing process and it is happening even now. this sounds more logical to me...

Any comments????

is that answer A?
It should be because of the idiom 'as a result of'

IMO - In My Opinion (Which need not be right ;))
OG - Official Guide - 11th Edition (Thats the latest, I guess) published by Blackwell

Infact there is a OG verbal review also.

These should keep you steady in the rough GMAT weather !

ATB !!!

My take: B

A: "As a result of" doesnt sound right
C: "increasing.........resulting" doesnt seem right.

Whats the OA ?

I think the use of "would" demands "increased".

Increasings suggests ongoing process which seems correct at first look bt doesn't go well with "would". "will" will be more appropriate.

Secondly, I think (am not sure) resulting in "carbon dioxide in the atmosphere resulting from" is misplaced.
