WOW... i feel like my G-day. carry your passport and your appointment letter(optional). Hope you have already visited your test centre if not today is the best day for that. You should not report before 50 minutes of your scheduled time because u will have to wait outside if reached too early. That wait is terrible, full of thoughts and what not. So reach there about 50 min before then u can simply go through the procedure of palm scan and photo etc and start the test. i suggest u have a good night sleep of atleast 8 hrs. If test is in morning then have a healthy breakfast and whatever u are used to. If you feel like warming up before the game then play few loose balls and hit them through the fence for SC, CR and a passage for RC. and then go for the kill. You have already done your best possible work, let him show his part now. Most importantly enjoy the game, u have paid 250 for that... atleast vasool karke aana.

GOOD LUCK and no matter what happens have a few drinks (if u drink ) with friends and do let us know your experience.

PS: dont forget to carry most important of all things, your positive attitude!!

IMO it's A.
'so x that y..' construction seems OK here.
"Exigencies are ( Iam using are ) undoubtedly plural, singular is exigency so A and D are out. A used "makes" and D used - "has". Subject - Verb agreement.

Now this is a tricky question fight is among B, C and E

I don't think past tense is required in this sentence as this will remain a fact, as shown by Shakespear' play and there is no mention of time during which these exigencies foreshorten the "dramatized....XYZ". Eliminate B

So between C and E
I would choose C as E seems to change the meaning of original sentence.

What is OA

Hi Dare2
Although your OA is right i.e. "C"
yet I want to pour a though here that option "E" does not change the meaning. Its just that Foreshorten is used as a verb in past tense. Keeping that in mind, we will ignore "E" otherewise it would have been the best choice.
Hope I kept the track.

IMO A
so X....that Y !

I will go with option A. That sounds correct me.

No "foreshorten" is not used as a verb in past tense. Past tense of verb foreshorten is "foreshortened".

Foreshorten is a three syllable word - Fore + short+en = To reduce the length of; curtail or abridge

I have checked this before casting out my final choice.

Hope it helps.
u r bang on target.. deliberately modified option E to make it close to option C..

now try this..

The expected rise in the price of oil could be a serious impact to industrialized nations and severely diminish the possibility to have an economy free of inflation.
(A) be a serious impact to industrialized nations and severely diminish the possibility to have
(B) seriously impact on industrialized nations and severely impede the possibility to have
(C) seriously impact on industrialized nations and severely impede the possibility of having
(D) have a serious impact on industrialized nations and severely impede the possibility to have
(E) have a serious impact on industrialized nations and severely diminish the possibility of having

I am not positive about the usage of 'should' but I am not sure if you can create a subordinate clause which if you donot have 'that', it will modify the global concentration and will seem like we are starting a new statement after comma.

So A is correct. Hope i am correct.

although the first glance gives a 'so ... that' construct, 'that' with a comma before it is almost always wrong in gmat.. also 'that' should be as close to the referrent as possible.. 'that' followed by should is also less preferable.. so option A and option E can be eliminated..

'should' refers obligation.. n it is not necessary that CO^2 is obliged to accumulate.. so i eliminated B and C..

hence i picked option D.. also 'were the present rate of buildup continue' is subjunctive and it fits well with the suggestion..

i am also doubtful abt the usage of subjunctive without 'that' but in this question it fits best..

if there is any flaw or grammatical error in my reasoning then plz let me know..
