1. The doctors as a part of their practice, prescribed aspirin to the patients.. 2. As a part of their practice, doctors prescribed aspirin to the patients
Second one appropriately used the pronoun "their" which clearly refers to noun "doctor"
Reason : noun is suitably placed with its modifying phrase, in "As a part of
their practice"(modifying phrase), "doctor"(modified noun) while A is a clear
case of misplaced modifier as phrase "as a part of their practice" is modifying
the noun "doctor" and the phrase"prescribed aspirin to the patients" is also
modifying the noun "doctor", but this noun is not placed near to the phrase

options A ,D and E are close
during 1950s and as part of their therapy should be close for correct contextual meaning ----- ans E
so that goes well with option E if OA is D where am i wrong??? ---somehow not convinced....

I saw this question in the same thread. This was posted by Pavi137 and discussed in pages 538-539. The OA is d. im not sure of the source. do u think option d is the best avl. solution ?lets discuss
Best regards, Vijay
None of the answer choices seems correct to me. Please cite the source.
p.s. On GMAT, the aim is to look for the best available answer and not the perfect one. However, in this case, none of the choices is even close.

1.Only pack the clothes that you are planning to wear
2.The students' work improved over the course of the sem,and they should be commended for it
p.s-find the errors
p.p.s-i'm in real doubt with the first one. plz provide expltn
I think there are two mistakes in this sentence, first one- adverb "only" which is modifying the verb "pack" should comes after it and second - It is not clear in the sentence that the phrase "you are planning to wear" is modifying which clothes. Therefore I think the perfect sentence should look like this "pack only those clothes that you are planning to wear.
Second sentence should look like this "The students work has improved over the course of the sem, and they should be commended for it.
Hope my try will help you, and if somewhere I am wrong please correct me too
