1) the correct idiom is potential to .. which restricts the choices to A,C & D. A & C have ambiguous their.. so the best answer is C.

2) choice A : "it" has no referrant
choice B : "it" can refer to the German view as well as proposal.
choice D : again "it" has no referrant
choice E : they should refer to administration (singular)

so the best answer is C.

3) Anxiety about is fine when there is a noun after the preposition "about" but here it is an entire clause, so you need "that" to introduce th clause. moreover the clause is in present tense (being hired ... and ...being stunted ) so you need present tense in the main clause.. E is in present and A is in past .. so E is the best answer.

4) The number ...is singular, so look for "has".. rather than "have".. now our possible answers are D & E. D is awkward and there should be a comma before which (which introduces a non-restrictive clause). so the best answer is E.

5) "
over the past decade" is redundant when there is "In the last ten years" in the beginning of the sentence. So the choices are B & C. In B "more than double what it was at that time" it seems that as if we are talking about a point of time in the past, but in the beginning of the sentence it is a "period of time" .. so C is the best answer.

Plz confirm the answers.
Hi.. the OA is (D).

why did u choose (D) over (C)?

Doesn't "they" in (D) make the sentence ambiguous?

In C by "growing them naturally" means that suppliers are helping them grow naturally... how can you help something grow naturally.. it looks awkward.. but D doesn't..

Sorry i changed my answer
Is it B?

The OAs are (D) & (C) respectively.

For the "ankle" question, the OG provides a clear explanation for choosing (D) over other options.

However, for the "Cattle" question, the answer says (C) and no further explanation has been given.

As these questions are from GMAC & ETS respectively, i assumed the reasoning must be the same and chose (D) for the 2nd question.. apparently i was mistaken!

Help!!

  1. Income in a single year is a very poor guide to income and wealth over even a few years, much less a lifetime; in the longer run, a tax on what people spend is therefore not much different than a tax on their income.

(A) than a tax on their income
(B) from a tax on what they earn
(C) than taxing income
(D) from the income tax
(E) than a tax on what people earn

correct usage is "different from.." rather than " diferent than.."

so available options are B & D.

now what is the case

X is therefore not much different from Y

X and Y should be parallel, X is "tax on what people spend" therefore the parallel Y is "tax on what they earn"

so OA is B. m i rite??
