Well, prep is goin ok i guess and il take the gmat in mumbai.
ive done the princeton review, the OG11 and the Manhattan verbal books.
Currently goin thru the Kaplan 800 and taking tests.
What about u?

Can some one tell me some good tests for GMAT. I have manhattan SC, OG11 and princeton review book to study. I think that will be more than enough for me. All I need some good tests to practice.
Some online tests or any software for this?

you can get GMATPrep, the best and the closest to the real GMAT from the site mba.com itself.Kaplan premier comes with a CD and it has 4 tests too.
I think these 6 tests should be enuf although the Kaplan scores are very skewed.
I had some tests from scoretop but since they dont run on vista, i got only the ones i mentioned to work with.

these 3 books will give u a complete picture of all u need for the gmat.However, once u go thru them and take some practice tests, u can tell whether u really need anything else.

manhattan sc is just that:SC. princeton review is good to start with but ultimately it is all about the process of elimination.it wont give u much practice.the og 11 is complete in itself but u wont find many difficult Qs in it.

kaplan 800 is a great book that will surely bolster ur prep.

All those are really serious about ur GMAT, take the VIP membership at Scoretop
For ur prep:
1. QA - Stick to OG11, Try the geometry lessons at scoretop VIP. They are very good.
2. SC - Manhattan SC is the best, Princeton review is good too. Finally solve all problems in OG11.
3. CR - Refer the material available at Scoretop VIP. Nothing can beat this. It is written to perfection. Then solve OG11.
4. RC - Well, this cant be learnt. U shuld try ur own technique here. I followed reading the entire passage quickly and then answering the questions. That was best suited for me.



Hi Deepak, I had downloaded the 1000 series u pm'ed to me ... I am working them out having trouble with the answers for the CR and RC's man. When I give the show hidden text option ... I get an answer choice which is placed against another answer choice ...

for example:

Q. XXX
A. aaa
B. bbb
C. ccc
D. ddd .(E).. - does this imply answer is D or E ???
E. eee

Hep me out buddy ... am in real need coz i worked out many porblems and am reviewing my work new ... its nerve wrecking when u dont know if u'r answers are right or wrong ...

Hi All,

Is anybody taking up their GMAT in the next few days ... before 21st May. Mine is slated for the very same date.

I have been getting information that the GMAT, especially the verbal section is being scaled up. An apparent increase in the difficulty level has been noticed ...

Anybody care to share info on this issue ...

Does this could imply drastic changes in prep methods .... ??? or do we still stick to the basics of Manhattan SC and OG material ... ??? Suggestions and speculations are most welcome ...

The answer choice is E dude. Ignore the typos. And abt GMAT acaling the difficulty levels of the VA section - Did u get any sample questions??? Whatever they change the format will be change. So dont worry and prepare yourself for them

No sample q's dude ... like u said will focus on basic and proceed ... no point worrying about diff level ... gettin descent score on the practice tests hope they remain in the final as well ... Push me luck buddy ... U'll be one of the first few to know ...

Hi,

I had raised a query with dheepak regarding question difficulty level ... one of my friend bombed in verbals while he aced the quants ... he proclaimed that verbal was tough ...

If anyone has taken up their GMAT recently we can get some insights about the exam ...

Yes...the site is unavailable.....
I had read somewhere that GMAC had sued scoretop....this could be the reason....not sure......
