have the CAT's and some the monthly questions left (OG11 saved for last week) ...

This is Anish. I am to start GMAT prep very soon. planning for July-Aug time frame.
Can some one please tell me which is the good book to start with...especially verbal. OG 11/OG 10 or Kaplan Premier edition.
I went thru some GMAT crackers personal prep strategies and found they have studied Kaplan also.
I am confused as should I buy this or just start with OG11.

there's a Kaplan 800 also being suggested to do in the later stages of preparation...
I wud suggest you to do Kaplan premier for practice as the level of questions is higher than the original test. Kaplan 800 should be done at the later stages (1-2 weeks b4 test) for it has some good strategies...again the questions are more difficult than GMAT.
Kaplan premier has a CD which has practice tests...u can do those tests but dont get bogged down by the score as they are low scoring tests and its more difficult than GMAT. but u can do these tests for practice.

Guys, what is the use of solving problems not related to GMAT or higher than the GMAT level while preparing for actual GMAT.
From my personal experience, I'd highly suggest u to refrain from using KAPLAN material, especially the Verbal Aptitude part of it.

okay! So Dheepak, what I understand is OG11 is good enough. Plus as some people suggest to do OG10 and Manhattan SC for more practice.
Is there any thing else that I should have. I would like to have all the material before I start my preparation. In fact I have got a lot of material except Kaplan from a friend. But saw that some people on PG have recommended Kaplan.
