Instead of dwnloading the 1000SC, RC & CR...downld this software..

This s/w has the same questions as the 1000 sets and above that it hepls to maintain track of time....(u onlt to register at this site, which is free)

The flip side of using both this s/w or the 1000 sets is that they don't have any answer explanations....

U have yourself answered the question..when u say that GMAT 800 is for advanced users...
Kaplan GMAt premiere program 2007 has basics, strategies & similar stuff...Also, it has CD, which has 4 practice tests...
GMAT 800 has some real tuff questions..(This is what i have heard)
and has no accompanying CD...
Neways I have got premiere program book and going to buy GMAT 800..
But this book is out of stock in Mumbai.....

Register on scoretop.com to download any material or post on their forum....
U need to register on mba.com...It takes them between 24 to 48 hours for verification.....(They verify if there is any already existing id for the same person to prevent duplicates)...
After that u can schedule ur GMAT..else u can schedule GMAT on phone also....

Hi,
I've been lurking around PG for some clues about possible options for the BEST GMAT prep book. Kaplan Premier edition comes out a clear winner as per most threads, though it is stated that the scores are discouraging and tests too tough. But overall it has been written on PG to be THE book, ahead of OG and Princeton Review. But to my surprise when i log into Amazon to check out the books, the reviews for Kaplan Premier are so bad that no one would dare buy it!

So guys please clarify whether the following points about the book are true or not:
1) It has lots of printing mistakes, typos, so much that paras and whole sections are repeated
2) It is not changed since the previous edition
3) The Math section is not good enough, containing not more than 1 sample question
4) The CD software, practice test and online tools don't work properly, even if they do, aren't good enough.

I plan to give GMAT in late October, so was looking for the best book which could give me enough preparation in 2-3 months. Maths is my nemesis, verbal being pretty good. So which one should i go for, considering that i am a working professional and won't be able to give time for more than one book, and i've got e-books for OG 10 and a few other.

Hi Naveen,
I feel it is better to start your preparation with Princeton Review and then OG11.
Princeton review has excellent techniques and also familierizes to the excat GMAT pattern.

After finishing Princeton, you will find all the excercises in OG11 to be easy. OG11 is the bible. Concentrate on it first before moving on to any other book.

I have heard from many people that these two books along with 4 Princeton Mock tests and 2 GMATprep tests are more that enough.

For Sentence Correction, refer to Manhatten SC notes and Spidey's notes..

If you need more practice, then you could even consider OG Quants and Verbal workout.

Based on the Score Estimater on a certain site, I saw that the 800 score tests are supposed to be close to the real tests. So I bought 5 tests from 800 score . com. Till now I had been scoring very well in other tests such as Kaplan (670), Princeton (720), GMATPrep (770). But I found out that I was scoring only 660 around in tests from 800 score . com. The questions in Math are simply too tough given the time constraints and also the scoring is flawed. This is my last week. Someone had posted that 800score are a bit easier. I think that person was probably referring to the free ones and not the paid ones. DO NOT BUY 800 SCORE . COM TESTS!!!

m plannin to giv GMAT though i hv no plans of goin abroad...i wanna giv it coz many B-schools in india also consider GMAT score...i'v consulted many ppl n some of them say dat i shud concentrate only on CAT...but i feel that it mite b helpful in case m not able to get a good percentile in CAT...you know like a back up option...m confused!! shud i go ahead or not?? please help...and also tell me the cost factor, xam pattern and the pre requisites...
