Hello folks,
I have started preparing for GMAT since 2-3 weeks. As of now I have finished reading 70% of
Princeton Review. I have a few queries.
1.Which book should I start with next? Kaplan 800 or OG 11th edition or something else?
2. We can download 2 PowerPrep tests from www.mba.com. I have also heard that once you take
the GMAT date, you are couriered a CD which contains 2 tests. Are both the tests same as
what is available on mba.com?
3.There are so many books Kaplan 2007,Kaplan 800, OG for GMAT review, OG for Maths, OG for
Eng etc etc...Buying all these will be an expensive affair. even keeping the cost part
aside, is it really required to go through all the books. My personal feeling is that beyond
a point u dont gain much reading more stuff..That is what I think..Would really like seniors
to clarify on this.
4. Among the GMAT books, which books come along with CD(consisting the computer adaptive
tests) ??
Well I am visiting this forum for the first time. Its amazing when I see so much stuff put
by people. I feel so embarassed that I have nothing to share. :(
Anyways, hope 2 hear from atleast a few of you.
Regards,
Aditya

Hi PGs,
Just wanted to know if there are any additional CAT GMAT tests from mba.com apart from 2 free tests in GMATPrep.
u can a lot of CAT GMAT apart from GPrep.
like those of Kaplan,princeton,800score.com and ofcourse the PowerPrep(old official tests)
Kaplan's are damn tough.they can very easily demotivate u..so beware of them.
princetons are good to take an early stage of ur prep.i think their quant is too easy as compared to that find in GPrep.
a lot of people speak high of sectional tests 800score.com,though i have not tried them yet.
PowerPrep contains all the questions from OG.so u should exhaust both the tests before starting OG.
one word of warning- level of quant in all these tests is much lower than that in Gprep which is the closest to the actual GMAT.
also, all these tests are available freely...

Thanks for the info.
I will hunt for powerprep tests if i can find them still.
BTW,I feel that 800score quant is a bit tougher than GPrep.
(And,yes,I have completed OG11.)
Their are other tests MGMAT (Manhattan GMAT) which are considered to be good, others are Cambridge (ACRO), Crack GMAT.
IMO 800score tests are easier than GMATPrep for both quant and verbal.

Hi,
