I have started taking RC tests ...targetting 15 questions in 30 minutes..same for CR. What should be the ideal score?and hw can i relate it to a GMAT score?
Ideal score = all rights
However, don't be too worried about the number of wrongs (or be too happy on the number of rights). Just focus on learning the concepts behind each question.
I read it as "I have a different opinion from the great GMAT tutor Arun - OG 10 is better than OG 11. "
Phir pata chalaa aap is naa cheez ko "great GMAT tutor" bulaa rahen hain. Kyon mazaak udhaa rahen hain janab - mein pehle Psychod hoon phir GMAT tutor
Are boss aap hain hi GMAT tutor and i am really a fan of some PGites like Senapati and you for the expert opinions you guys give.
Agreed !! Esp for SC - makes a world of difference
Psychodementia Says
Repetitions of what ? different from what ? Your presumption is that the person is reading OG 11 AFTER OG 10. My take is that apart from the explanation part OG 10 definitely is better in terms of sheer quantity.
I agree that OG 10 has lot more questions than OG 11 but one can get more questions on PG they y going for a book if PG is there
Hmm...... I agree
Easier option is to go through the soft-copy on the net
Arun
Sorry boss softcopy of OG11 is not available yes what one can do is to get the softcopy of OG10 and purchase OG11.

Can you clear spell out the question ? I am unable to fathom what you need - do you want to us draw up a clear plan for you or do you want us to validate your plan. Or something implicit which I was not able to pick up.
I wanted help to chalk out plan for these 40 days, so that i can scale my scores. I see that i need to complete Kaplan 800, Kaplan Verbal to get above 700. U already know my current level(from the scores i sent in the previous post).

Hi, I looked for the Official Guide 2007 and Kaplan 800 books in CrossWords and Oxford bookstores in Kolkata , but couldn't find them. The guy at Crosswords said that the book has been not yet been supplied to them. Can someone let me know if it is available in Chennai or Delhi. This is urgent , please reply as soon as you can. Regards, Anant.
Hi Guys, Myself I am planning to give G-mat in 2007. Can some one suggest me wat books I should refer to for a basic start? Cheers sarala.
THanks a lot for the prompt response I m looking for some BRM online..If you can help me with that..will be really Thank full to u
cheers sarala.:
Hi Sarala,
You might need to invest in a book OR beg/borrow/steal from someone who has taken the GMAT. Please don't be dependent just on online material if you wish to do justice to your Rs.12,500 (and consequently 40lakhs for a US Bschool). Kaplan books start at around 600 bucks.
For Basic Fundae: --------------------- Kaplan Premier Edition (2006/7) Manhattan SC/CR/RC For Practice: -------------- OG 10th/11th ed OG Verbal/Quant Workbooks For Advanced Practice: -------------------------- Kaplan 800 (atleast just the quant part)

Sorry did not look at this earlier
I would say do Kaplan 800 for quant and not verbal. Stick to Kaplan Verbal Workbook (atleast the fundae and the appendix in the last) for Verbal.
For other practice, do OG and if time permits also a bit of the 1000 SC/RC/CR as long as you are confident you can discuss the correct answers on an appropriate forum.

Gmat Sets ... haven't heard that one before ... but it could be that you are talking about Jungle Juice or JJ Sets ( which are a set of GMAT questions published by scoretop dot com).
As harsh has answered - GMAT Sets are a bunch of 30 question papers (downloadable in PDF format) that was formerly available on the scoretop site.
These are *actual* GMAT questions - accounting for some redundant questions you had 37 * 30 Quant and 41 * 30 Verbal = 1000+ questions. Worth its weight in gold. Unfortunately some of the answers are ambiguos.
But since last month, they have pulled it down. So your only hope of getting them is through someone who was smart (and fast) enough to download them
Arun
i guess i was one of the smarter ones - i have some of them. uploaded the same to esnips.com
