GMAT by november end and going for fall 2010 admission .
I am very new to this forum . Friends, what do you think if I give my GMAT in November end , would I be late for 2010 fall admission ?
Most of the admission deadlines are in january.
Please throw some lights on this..
Also if any of you are palnning for November , share how you doing with
your preparation .. I just bought
1) kaplan verbal 2) Kaplan Quants
Soon after i finished these two I will go for OG ( verbal) and OG ( Quants).
I am joinging Princetown review in first week of next month . Have very less time and this is the first time I am appearing..
Any help would be appreciated..

U r a little late but that should not put u off from perparing well and getting good score.
Devote all ur time for GMAT and give ur best shot.
Since there is no much time for the deadlines, u shud be working on ur application process parallelly if u are aiming at fall 2010.
Dunno anything abt ur profile,, but then make a decent estimate of ur expected score, with other criteria decide on univs where u want to app and start with ur essays and stuff
so ull be in a better position to apply for fall 2010 if u r keen abt it

Pls note that i already have gmat score of 660 and i would be taking gmat again to get above 700 so that i can get some scholarship
can anyone pls advice if it wud be fine for me to take GMAT in Nov end or may be Dec mid ??
Thing is that I am also preparing for CAT and other indian bschools and i want to take GMAT after my CAT( nov28- Dec 7)
or do u advice me to take somewahre in Oct mid or Oct end ?

10th 74%
12th 70%
Btech ( CSE) 65% ( some private college )
Total Experience of approx 5 years ..
2 years Onsite experiencev [ 1 yr US + 1 year Gaborone( Africa) ] ..
But Can I work on my application process until I am done with my GMAT score ?
Guide me if apart from GMAT preparation I can do other processings too.
I am in process of shortlistings my colleges .
I will be done with my exam in November end..

Well I'm not so experienced myself
just done with GMAT 660 QA47 VA 35 AWA 5.5
jsut getting started with my apping process..
so i can give fundas on what i felt i shud have done to score better...
the thing is if u can shortlist ur colleges u can work on the essays
u can give toefl also meanwhile as it hardly requries any prep.
Ur Exp is good,,make sure u prep well and score well so that it will be an added advantage..
register for the GMAT, take a mock test..
evaluate urself.. and steer ur prep based on that..
get the materials for prep..
and prepare very diligently..

If u r serious abt Fall 2010 US, then give it off soon maybe October
Since u have already given GMAT once i'm pretty sure u have a clear picture on where u need to improve..
So give ur best and finish it off..
If u r more keen on UK Sept 2010 (no idea abt the process and deadlines)
i guess u have the luxury time to get done with CAT and then move to GMAT..
So its ur call..

I am looking to take GMAT in Jan'2010.
Haven't started with my GMAT preparations yet.
Afaik there are 4 rounds for applications to BSchools.
a) Are the application rounds ie R1 - R4 same for all B Schools?
b) What is the time period for R1, R2, R3 and R4 ?
c) If I take GMAT in Jan, then by default the scores would be sent to 5 Bschools which I would have chosen. So, if the scores are sent, would it mean that I have by default applied for those colleges or can I apply later ?
Basically my question is which is the best time to take GMAT(which month),so that I can apply for Round1.

I am in the same situation as you guys. I have been trying to prepare for GMAT on my own from 1 month. Being poor in Verbal,I have decided to take coaching (may be in princeton or jabooree) from this month. I will be giving GMAT in Nov End.
I have 3.5 years of experience. I am not sure if this is the right time to give a try(as i might be in hurry to give exam by Nov End). I am planning for Good B-schools than "OK" B-schools. I am very confortable with Quants so require very minimal preparation for Quants but very high preparation for verbal.
Please let me know if this is the right time to give a try and if yes, will i be able to make into Good B-schools.
If No, then i need to wait for some more time,prepare well and attempt strongly. By that time i might 4+ years experience which would be added advantage. Please guide.
Note: i am planning for Good B-schools only.
