The placement details of 2012 batch has been shared by few of our profs as posted by an aspirant.
I am not sure about these yet, because the report is yet to come.
Right now, focus on giving best in the GD/PI and convert.
P.S : The process is still ON. The final report is expected by the end of March.

someone said on another thread that the avg pckg has come down to 7.63...
this is really low as compared to last yr's 8.82..
is this true ... if yes... then what might be the reasons for the same...
the fees has been increased and the avg pckg has gone down...

Arey, who is to say it wont pick up by the time batch of 2012-14 passes out.
Don't go by placement stats alone to judge a college. At least they have been very transparent and candid about it, If they wanted, they could have kept people in the dark.

but this a too high a decrement ...

gim has been very transparent in its process... n I salute the institute and the seniors for this... for helping us all and clearing our doubts and above all, motivating each n everyone of us...

Probably the gloomy economic scenario also did in . But on flip side the decrease is quite steep.
Also as per the earlier reports given by GIM , the placements were expected to exceed last year figures if i rember correctly .

So we have to wait for offcial report as there is no point speculating . All the best to others for GD/PI who are about to appear

It could be the batch size. Plus its been a bad year for Investment banking , Infrastructure etc, market looks bearish.

As i told earlier also, this is just an interim data that was told roughly to the faculties.
We may still have few companies coming up. It will take some time for the official report to come.
So i sincerely request you people to wait for that report.
You all will have ample time before taking an informed choice about GIM.
In my view, the major challenges that we have faced this time is : Bad market scenario and the size of batch being 240 for the first time.

1. It can be anything. If you are the first in the group and you have to start making the opening statement, it is good to first define the topic. If it has already been defined by others, you can give your own thoughts.
2. In conclusion, try giving points said by others as well. That is what i feel. It is about giving and taking in the entire process. You need to show that in your conclusion.

We can't give the proper feedback as it depends upon the panel, how they perceived you.
But overall, it seems OK to me.
Would suggest you not to think much on this. Focus on the other calls that you have. All the best.
