CSR as avinash mentioned is a Corporate Social Responsibility Program that we as students need to undertake every thu.
A group of 5 to 6 students is associated with a NGO or a self help group or an organization working for the welfare of the society.
This group of students helps the NGO in its work.
GIM is pretty strict about this and makes sure that the students are actually working for the organization
Like for example my group is associated with an NGO that aims to reduce the dropout rates in the rural schools.
There are other groups which are associated with self help women groups, with NGO's working for slum children etc
Apart from that it is a very fruitful exercise which allows us to experience the society at the grass root level. And more over trust me it is awesome fun and a unique experience !!!

I know it's very late but can we change the center for GDPI?
My scheduled date is 27th Feb in Goa. Can I get it changed to Hyderabad???

NO.
You can't change it to Hyderabad.

Adding few more points to the answer WHY GIM
We have subjects like Markstrat, brandmaps and Capstone where we get the opportunity to learn through simulation games. Similar subjects might be available in other colleges also but mentioning this would show that you have actually gone through the curriculum.
We also have some interesting electives in the 2nd year like Lyrics Management.
Can we/ Should we carry our cvs?

No. If you take it, it is not neccessary that they will have a look at it. But yes, may be they ask you if you have a CV or not. Then you can show them.

1. Outstation candidates who are coming a day in advance can put up either in Bicholim or Mayem Lake or Old Goa or any other place they wish to.
2. The college will not provide any accommodation.
3. However in case you decide to stay in Old Goa, the college is willing to provide bus services to come to Sanquelim, provided a proper co-ordination takes place.
4. The few hotels in Sanquelim are not really upto the mark and I guess you wont mind spending a few bucks more to have a fresh mind before the D-Day. I would personally suggest you people to stay in Old Goa Residency and take the college bus. Else you can stay at Bicholim or Mayem Lake and take a cab from there. Will hardly charge some 100-150 bucks.
5. However on the day of the process if you people want to freshen up a bit we will be more than welcome to open our rooms to you(provided of course we dont have classes). But you'll find someone or the other not having a class.

My train is from madgaon station (7.30 PM) on 27th and how to reach the station from the hotel (old goa residency)? Do I have to go to panaji?

Plz help me out . I asked you I want to reschedule my GD from 28th to any day prior or after it . You replied to look into 9th post . You hav nt mentioned anythng bout it . You mentioned that we can cme any day on march 4th n 5th . Is it from confirmed sources? I still didnt get any communications from admissions team . Plz help :wow:
