The 8th, 9th & 10th post on Page no 51 talks about various other details such as documents needed, some general tips on interview and some tips on GD-PI.

1. Now you cannot check the details you filled.

2. For those having govt recognised achievement, calls have been given at lower %ile. By how much, we don't know. But there are very few calls like that.

XAT - 50
Acads - 10
Work Ex - 10
GD/PI/Essay - 30


What should be the ideal score out of 100 considering the above break up can one expect a final call ?

There is no disclosure about the final score of the candidates who are admitted by the institute, so it would not be prudent on our part to quote a number.

However, if we do a bit of maths here we can understand this a bit better.Say, a student got a call at 99 and another one at 77(taking both the extremes). After scaling, the respective score of the candidates would be 49.5 and 38.5 respectively. (A difference of 10 marks).

This difference can be bridged if one does well in the rest of the evaluation criteria, e.g. GD/PI, academics, Work ex etc.

So the deciding factors still remains GD and PI. Since you can not really make any difference to your academics and work profile at this stage. GD/PI accounts for 30%, so the idea should be trying to maximize in this space.

Put your best foot forward in GD/PI, that shall be enough.

Got GIM call, 29th Feb.
Stuck with a pretty odd problem.
The call mail says : "Please bring your original certificates, mark sheets, s....had mentioned (after sorting out).
How can I retrieve that now? Any help?

There is no way it can be retreived now.

So the best solution is to bring all the certificates that you have. All the best.

1. Yes, I had the cut off score last year. And there are few more in our batch who converted with %ile of 77-80.

2. Though the weightage of XAT Score is 50%, the actual difference in marks is not much.

3. GD/PI Performance is the most crucial deciding factor.

4. So give your best there. Prepare hard and I see no reason why you can't be selected.

5. Get back to any of us if you require any help. All the best.

Can someone tell me which is the flagship stream of GIM.. as in what is best as a course in there????:

i have applied to gim ..... my gim id is 107539 .......i called the admission cell and they told am selected , they alo said that they have sent a mail ..... but i have not received the mail yet .... What should i do now

There is no stream as a flagship stream here.

All the specialisation are equally good..

Don't worry, the mail sometimes bounces back.

The link of result would be put up on the website very soon. Then you can check your result. Mail is just a formality.

When they will officially say that we can get our gd/pi rescheduled on 5th and 6th march.....we had to get our tickets booked in advance ????:wow:

1. The shortlist won't be put up on the website.

2. The log in Link will be put up and you would be able to check the result using your GIM ID and Password.

3. It is expected to be put up by today.

4. Don't worry if you are above 76.48. You will def get a call. 76.48 is based on the post that one of the puys got and received a call. So above that, everyone will get a call.

Hello Seniors..
I have my GD PI on 27 feb at Sanquelim Campus, Goa ( 8.30 AM ).
I will be reaching Goa by flight at about 3 pm on 26 feb.

Please let me know about the hotels near the campus..And the possible conveyance facility early morning as I have to report at 8.15 am.
By the little internet search I have done I found that there are no hotels very near to the campus.
Please help..Thanks in advance.

You need to get your marks card.

But since you are not having it, i will ask what is the alternative with the admissions office and then get back to you. Kindly bear with us.

To what extent, a candidate with work ex, expected to know the grad course provided there is no link whatsoever between the course and the present work???

Sanquelim town is around 3 Km from the campus.

There are few hotels at Sanquelim but not so good. Will enquire about it and then update.

But you can find some good hotels at Bicholim which is about 10 km from the campus or at Mayem lake which is some 14 km from the campus.

You can get the pilots for conveyance or even cabs. But try to talk and arrange for the same on the previous day only.
