Hey as per wat i've found out at GWU campus placement is da only lifeline within DC and yeah I didnt find Delloitte's HQ in Washington D.C 😞 .
again da same scene here international students will have to network outside DC I think NY is not so far away and its THE place to network for jobs esp for finance fellows !!
BTW were u a R1 applicant or R2 ?

This Univ has a reputaion of being a rich man 's school . I am sure they havent given you any scholarship as well . I'd be happy to be wrong(abt scholarship being not awarded ) though !!!
D.C is a VERY expensive city and if you miss the bus to get a job while in campus , you better be prepared to to shell out some extra cash to 'Network' ( travelling , renting a hotel room for couple of days etc) in another city .
the concept of Return on Investment (ROI) to do an MBA is heavily skewed towards Investment considering the luke warm revival of the US economy from a big recession .
my 2 cents worth of understanding abt attending this univ .

I too have received the spilt up...I am not taking it up...it isn't a top 20 school also to pay that kind of amount..so it didn't make sense for me to take it up...

Got these low-downs from my family they are currently living in D.C . Another bit of disturbing news for International student is plenty of Govt . establishments with in D.C , which the Univ raves about on its website prefer or rather ONLY employ Native americans ( 65+ % ) of the class in GWU MBA is American .
Your absolutely correct dude , in the price that your req to shell out for doing their MBA
( 100+ K USD ) one can get into a top 20 b-school (where international students will have better chances of employment post MBA ) than at the GWU . For the rec I am very price sensitive 😃 after all MBA is all abt Money ....heheheheh ;)
Just asking outta curiosity ( you dont have to reveal the amt or percentage ) but were you given any scholarship at all by the Univ ?

I hope all of u have a backup plan for GWU :D. I am denying the offer by mail. The funky package contains one wallet which I wish didnot have the GWU typed :'(.
I got admit with scholarship from UPitt. So my seat in GWU would defenitly go for a rich round 1 guy 😁

SCHOLARSHIP and admit is the name of the game of the US MBA . In these recessionary time better to attend at univ which is offering an schlorship its easy on your pocket that way .
pittsburgh is a rather affordable place to live in the US and safe as well BTW did i mention that Katz b-school has made it to the FT rankings as well (...not in the recent one though ) . My point is a gud prog for the money u'll spend .

Well placements aren't 100%, dunno from where u got that. It isn't too great for International Students though. The private companies that come to the school also mostly recruit Citizens.
Well the website says 85% of the people were placed last year... and 86% foreign national students are placed...

My view was based on talking to alumni and current students. But then again it depends which field and what kind of profile are you looking for.
