I have a problem regarding the question no-44. of the pre-GATE 2017 paper of EC stream where the diL(0+)/dt is asked. But we know that inductor does not allow sudden change of current at the same instant.

Can someone please throw some light on the bandwidth of Raised cosine pulse in digital communication. Wheather the bandwidth is Rb*(1+a)/log2(M) or Rb*(1+a)/2*log2(M). I am facing difficulty as somewhere it is found using formula 1 and somewhere else it's found using formula 2. In last year Gate paper1 for PAM signal formula 2 was used.
