How to reach : Just get down at Bandra Station and take a share auto from here to BKC IOCL. It will charge Rs 20-30 and will take 15-20 mins from there.
After reaching the venue, the candidate were divided into M1 and M2 groups as the interviews of M1 and M2 were taken by separate panels.
Document verification started just after the having a PPT about IOCL and breakfast. Document Verification was organised and the people were really helpful. For TA reimbursement you need to show the tickets of both the sides. For the people who didn't book the return were given facility to book the ticket then and there and get the reimbursement.
After document verification (took about 1.5 hours for all), there was GD/GT. 30 mins were allotted for GD and 30mins for GT.
GD topic : Public private partnership in higher education Boom or bad
GT topic : Safety measures for elderly people.
In between they did provide a good lunch.
After that interview started.
Interview started with HR questions like tell me about yourself and your family background? Why IOCL? What are your preference order for different PSU and Why?
On the technical side they mostly asked on instrumentation like What is principle of working of Level instruments, pressure instruments. Ranges and types of practical thermocouples and more on the instrumentation part only.
Overall the interview had very basic level questions and the panel was cordial.
Interview duration : 15mins.
All the interviews got over by 6pm.

Hello friends.....i am rahul jain i have got 1918 rank in gate 16 ece general category...this was my 2nd attempt and i am 2015 passout.....i have given aai-atc but didny got selected although my interview was very good..i m in very tensed situation... I filled ccmt counselling and got NIT Delhi electronics and communication for M.Tech....but i have no interest in M.Tech....and i dont want to waste my another year..8 have only aim of getting into psu/ies.....i have another option to opt for m.tech from govt engg college jabalpur(as i m from jabalpur) where i dont have to go college everyday and it is just 2 kms from my home and no pressure to do m.tech seriously....but m tech from that college is of no use.....i am in great tensed situation what to do.....plz guide me what to do....i m very much confused and emergency like situation fr me...

Actually, in the mail they have mentioned that we must report on 7th July. But, I think the registration program is from 14th to 16th July. The problem is that I am having my NTPC interview on 11th. People who are joining IIT BOMBAY, please share your feedback whether it is mandatory to attend the bridge courses.
Those who are joining NITs, at the time of admission, should we submit Migration certificate? Is it compulsory?
