finally finished MGS 4 .. epic game puys !! a must play ..
@ satwinder sir : next year to ps4 aayega wo lena 😛 ..
can anybody post the latest releases in FPS genre
Was about to purchase Mass Effect 3 but somehow decided against it.
I paid the 1300 bucks
. Its certainly worth it though not the ending but they are improving the ending with a new free DLC. Do buy it - its an awesome game.Next up: Elder Scrolls 5 (Still not played it :w00t:) and Witcher 2.
To all RPG fans, if you have not played the witcher series - go for it. Combat takes a bit of getting used to but the storyline and gameplay are fantastic. Its a very mature game with all your decisions affecting the outcome at some point or another. And there are no morally black and white choices here. Just various shades of grey!!
Has anyone here played GTA 4 with a Dual core processor??
I have a PC with First Generation Intel Core i3, 4 GB DDR3 RAM, 500 GB HDD,nVidia 9600 GT and Windows 7 64 bit... I got the rig in 2010... But I am still not able to run GTA 4 (which released in 2008 ) smoothly... So is it because GTA 4 requires a Quad core processor or do I have a glitchy copy of the game(obtained via Torrent ofc)...
Good that I am not the only one encountering this problem. It was really baffling as I could run the latest resource-hungry game Battlefield 3 easily but not GTA 4.
I was a big GTA SA fanatic so badly wanted to try out GTA 4 because of its rating ....
GTA4 works ok in my laptop.
I3 second generation 2.10GHz, 3GB DDR 3 ram, Intel (R) HD graphics.

For me CRYSIS 2 was a huge disappointment man.....I wasted 2000 odd bucks on it and it was not even worth a thousand rupees...!!!!! :nono:
I wont buy CRYSIS 3 until & unless it gets a 9.5+ on IGN
P.S to all those who download games via Torrentz..plz guys stop playing PIRATED games.India has a huge potential to become the leader of the gaming industry and u guys have no idea how much this is effecting the indian economy. If u really love gaming plz buy original games only.Prices of XBOX360/PS3 GAMES in india is equal to whats in the US just coz of rampant piracy here.
No one wants to invest money in the indian gaming industry coz there's hardly any demand of original games.I was just looking at the amount of orders that FLIPKART/EBAY/LETSBUY/INDIATIMES/REDIFF/AMAZON/JUNGLEE gets when a new game is released in india and believe me guys the number is not even in 4 figures just coz we all love playing pirated games...!!!!! Mass effect 3 got a total of 1900 odd orders till now....:nono:
It wont help us,nor our country,in the long run guys....!!!!
No hard feelings!!!
cheers!!

it's easier said than done mate.
i dont indulge in piracy but due to the high prices of the games i tend to buy second hand copies and sell them again for 100-150 bucks less. 😃
any suggestions for classic rpg games ??
it's okay for movies and music......the artists and producers are rich already....
but for games, i believe it is only fair to the hard-working and brilliant developers that their efforts in making these great games be rewarded by us purchasing these games legitimately.
i have a collection of more than 15 games....all original purchased....which include titles like Splinter Cell, Assasin's Creed, Sims, NFS, FIFA, GTA, Skyrim, Masss Effect, Bioshock, Mafia, Batman, Hitman, etc.....
and i can assure you this collection has not cost me more than 15k to 18k.....
is that so expensive considering how much we enjoy these games ?
we must support devs.... buy the games.....
My 2 cents:
I believe that the video game market in India will only develop, when the games are accessible and affordable to majority of the middle class. Right now, if you consider a PS3 or an Xbox360, majority of the games are priced in the range of Rs. 2000-3000. Which is indeed quite a significant amount for most Indians.
For the PS2, even though the base price now is a mere Rs. 6000, the games still cost you anywhere between Rs. 499-Rs. 1499. Which could mean that for the price of a few games, I could buy a new PS2 itself.
But just lowering the price will not help either. If people know that they can get something for free, why will they pay for it? There should be a big incentive for that, and right now there is none. If you can easily download a game for free on the net, there is no logical reason why you should spend Rs. 1500 and buy that game. For an Operating System, say, you could say that installing a pirated system could be risky for your machine, create problems, etc etc. For video games, that option is unavailable.
I am personally totally against piracy. I have even purchased some 15-20 original games- my friends call me a mad person for this. But unless the price tag is heavily reduced and proper incentives provided, along with awareness, the video game market in India will not grow at the same rate as that of the developed nations.
Play DOTA/DOTA2..
It's free...it's high level multiplayer and it's the mother of strategy gaming !!
So much so that a mere map in warcraft is now a standalone game funded by Steam. The international Dota tourney has a first prize of OVER $1 Million....!! Truly epic !!
Will surely buy games when i get the JOb
abhi cant spend

well all said and done guys..... its really difficult to start purchasing games off the bat.
The first problem is the availability of the game. For example games earlier were only available in the malls of big cities in India. This is the reason why only the kids in the metropolitan and some other big cities had access to the original game pack.
Now with the availability of online purchase this problem has been reduced big time.
The second problem is the costing of the games... even though you may say that the pricing is the same as in the other developed countries as India, most of the piracy has roots in those developed countries itself where some guy buys a game, rips it from its disk and then redistributes it to his friends. So if the piracy in these developed countries is not totally zero even after their blooming economy how can you expect the piracy in India to go down by any significant amount in the near future with about 45% of our population still being below the international poverty line. Most of the gamers play games on a computer which they say they bought for "educational puposes". See its actually a leisurely activity in India to play games. Here in our country we earn in rupees and cannot be expected to spend in dollars. (Same thing is true about some african nations)
The third problem is the hardware the games demand. This is a necessity that has seen a steady rise since the past with each new game. As i have already said majority of indians play games on there computer. So if you need to upgrade for every freakin game after 2 years who has the resources for such things???

PS3/XBOX 360 games will never be in the 500-1000 range bro....
not until piracy is stopped !!!!
Reason is simple...almost all the PS3/XBOX360 games are imported from European union/Singapore..It costs about 1000 rs. per piece to the developers but the indirect taxes levied on the games and transportation costs involved thrusts the MRP in the 2500 rs. range !!!!
and honestly the developers dont give a damn coz hardly anyone buys original XBOX/PS3 games in india !! Revenue contribution from india is next to zero.
A PS3/XBOX360 game in US also costs around 60$ but when u compare the game cost/per capita income of US & india....that tells the story !!
And since the demand of original games in india is almost zero there isnt a single game development unit/subsidary of any major game developer in india that manufactures XBOX360/PS3 game in INDIA itself.
According to my analysis if the PS3 games are manufactured in india itself then the game price per unit will go down by 150%...!!!
But eveything depends on the demand supply thing and there's hardly any,not because INDIAN'S dont play/love games, coz we play pirated/downloaded games !!!!!!
Offshoring of gaming development industry from EU/SP to India not only will create thousands of job opp's for our youth but also will contribute a significant amount in our countries GDP.(Indian gaming industry is believed to be about 3000-4000crores according to a recent estimate by an Investment bank)...!!!
Satwinder paaji aap FMS me hoke game ko costly bol rahe ho....!!!

AAp ko to Microsoft studios ki subsidary ka contract le lena chahiye

I used to download a lot of pirated games but recently I have started buying them too.. Even some uploaders who release pirated versions are adding a line at the End "If you like the game, please buy an original copy to help the game developers"... Its a great feeling when you own a game... 😃
