All the best to everyone starting their PhD/FPM this year (and to those awaiting results). PhD is exciting, but confusing as well. You are on your own and don't know what to do. Even after a year into the PhD program, I don't know what I want to do (in thesis, career and life). I think this paper is a very good guide on how to utilize your time during PhD. Please let me know how good is MDI for FPM? I had applied to IIML and MDI; got rejected by IIML but was able to convert MDI. I have a very good UGC- JRF score. I know FPM at MDI is 13 years old but is it really good? I am an MBA with good academic record and have 5 years of experience (currently working in an IT company). Should I give this a miss and try for IIMs next year?

I have a query related to applying to SJMSOM for Spring season. (Since, i could not locate any new thread for this, so i am posting it here) ..
I am an MBA graduate in IT Business Management and have around 6 years of work-experience in an IT Major. To apply to SJMSOM (For Information Systems), do i need to appear for any entrance exam like CAT/GMAT, etc. I believe they have their own entrance exam and interview. I went through their brochure but could not get a proper answer..
Also, any comments on quality of Ph.D in Information Systems from SJMSOM will be highly appreciated.. Eagerly waiting for reply.. Thanks
How frequently do IIMs revises their stipends as I have seen some articles stating that IIM C used to pay just Rs 10,000 as stipend during 2008-2009.
