@experience123 i m sorry, but which info u r exactly looking for regarding the IIMA fpm ... I have just posted the general top-level link ... have u got the RAT / Interview call from IIMB ?
@maitreya Well, I don't think there is anything else that could be done now. Although calling up office and informing them about this might be a good idea.
Well there has not been a concept of waitlist historically. But if you have got one then all that can be done right now is wait. If someone withdraws then you would be given an admit.
@buffer Thanks buddy....also..I am coming to C for Strategy....what kind of "technical" stuff should I prepare for the interview...would they actually ask about Porter's model, or other tools of strategy?
Got a waitlist from IIMA for P&QM; :(..... never knew there was a waitlist concept for fpm.. but I don`t think there will be any movements coz hardly anyone wud leave an IIMA seat.
@sayanddude it depends..if person got confirmation in two areas he/she may leave one, also preference some may prefer IIMC / IIMB based on chosen area or other regions like proximity to native etc..could be many reasons, so keep your fingers crossed..
@nishanta2006 Well the technical questions actually start from the question " What prompted you to apply for Strategy" "How did you develop interest in strategy" " Do you know of any theories or works in field of strategy"
Based on answer to the above question the technical questions would roll out. So prepare well for few theories that you know in strategy e.g. Blue ocean strategy. porter's five forces or anything else.
The aim should be that whatever you say you know, you should know a great deal of it. Knowing something about a lot of things may not be the best strategy in FPM interview.
@experience123 i also could not get the RAT / interview call for IIMB FPM IS ... called IIMB people today and they told me that they have already sent the mail to those shortlisted for RAT / interview for information systems ... the 2nd April admission announcement deadline is for ISB Hyderabad not IIM A ... although i have found a link on IIMA fpm website saying that the admissions will be offered to selected candidates by the end of April 2013 ... http://www.iimahd.ernet.in/programmes/fpm/how-to-apply/important-dates.html ... so I don't know how much time will they take to come to the admissions decision ...
