i clearly remember the commentator pointing out that the match referee in a conference had said that according to him, messi is the best player in the world. Now, i am not blaming anybody, but subconsciously he might be favouring them; maybe not, i do not know.
also, the first half yesterday was just theatrics from barca. real players' touched them on shoulder, chest, nowhere even - they would go to ground clutching their faces. if barca is truly an ever-better side then, these things also come into play. I agree real looked like they came for a draw while barca slipped into goal-scoring mode later but that was only after pepe was sent off. U cannot say that pepe deserved it for that was not worth a straight red card, no way. the ball was loose and he did not have a high boot, although it was face open but that is a warning and not a straight red. Also, coincidentally or not but barca has had a lot of suspensions and sending offs against their opponents in this CL, no matter how you look at it.

What Pepe deserved was a yellow card...red card was too harsh...and yes that turned the match in Barca's favor...and I think Pedro and Busquets should try their luck in movies now after all the drama and acting they were doing....

Pep and Barca should be ashamed after last night...first the press conference, then the playacting of pedro n' biscuits...which got arbs a yellow. Finally the rat doing his swan ballet spin....to con the ref into giving pepe a red. The ref had earlier said openly that he was a messi fanboy n' proved it to the world.
I really feel this barca team has great attacking skill....the three madrid titles in 5 years (98-02), gave me a lot of joy. The way redondo, raul, carlos, zizou played...even our opposition coaches n' players had kind words. This barca team has similar achievements....going for 3 in 5 yerars, having beaten the other team in el classico semi away leg 2-0 (same score)....but the way they do it is with no class....First the penalties being denied to chelsea, then the sprinklers n' red card to inter, van persie red and finally the ref-conjob at the santiago bernebau.

To people who are saying that mou n' real bottled it.....we played to our plan which was 0-0....we did it well and ad barca passing among their defensive players for the better part. We brought on ade n' were about to bring kaka to get our goal....stark had other ideas

Have to admit that classicos these days have become really dirty..Its tough to referee a classico as the crowd and the players are always on top of you.Tough to end a game with 22 players on the field.What happened last nite was another example of keeping the lid tight.Pepe suffered not because of what he did but the drama that surrounded the entire incident.The foul or should i say the "Act" of busquests ,the foul on alves and then finally the pepe kick on alves.
But still am a barca fan to the core so have to admit that AFTER pepe was sent off..Madrid let their guard down.Their shoulders were down and they allowed "the magician" to run yards.That always is the onset of danger for any opponent.The first one was clinical but the second one was majestic.
