Football Club -- Part Deux

I dnt read into transfers that much but i never found his quote saying this.. may be i m misinformed..

Ajax ace Maarten Stekelenburg issues 'come-and-get-me-plea' to Arsenal The Sun |SportFootball
Maybe you are misinformed :p

Only way stekelenburg comes to ManU is if wenger rejects him, and thats a fact.
But anyway i dont see a goalkeeper coming to arsenal this summer.

In my opinion Wenger should let go of Fabregas. This season we played most of the matches without him and Wilshere and Nasri both are doing good. So we didn't missed Fabregas that much this season. Even in the matches he played, he was not much influential as he used to be. So I think it's time to move on, sell him, get loads of cash and get 2-3 other good players. But it's true that Barca has limited cash to offer. So I dont see Fabregas going to nou camp in next season. But an offer of 35M + a player is not a bad deal for Arsenal.

The player might want to come to Arsenal but the question is - Does Wenger have the ability of deciding to buy him. I am sure he is making plans of how to use Fabianski and Schesny for next season.

P.S - I would love to see him at Arsenal. I just want Almunia and Fabianski out of Arsenal. Frankly speaking I do not think that getting Lehman back will do us any good.

Arsenal without Fabregas is not good. He is the key playmaker. Yes Nasri and Wilshere have become good but not to the level of Fabregas. They can support Fabregas but cannot play the role of Fabregas. Probably after some more experience they can assume the role of Fabregas

had Lehman stayed in Arsenal, it would have been a great thing. But he is out of form now and now he is playing in Arsenal reserves. The thing is Wenger's attitude is proving to be costly for the team. His decision of not buying a defender in Jan transfer window clearly was not wise at all, as now we are short of good defenders.
apart from Almunia and Fabianski I want Denilson, Bendtner and Diaby out of the team. Sell them Wenger. He could easily cash in more than 25M with these 3 players.

Spot on.. He hasnt been influential in big games for Arsenal but Nasri n Wilshere have been.. but who would you look for his replacement considering u have 30 M for his replacement..

if arsenal doesnt win epl this season cesc is going to barca for sure no matter what happens..i am an arsenal fan nd will be forever but still i think something is missing in arsenal..first of all our bench is not strong nd its all cos wenger doesnt like spending nd due 2 that when our players get injured our team falls like cards..arsene pls leave ur stubbornness 2 prove critics wrong that young team can win instead pls get the things right by taking right decisions of spending..we dont want 2 lose cesc we already lost henry 2 barca..if cesc goes the ideal replacement shud be wesley sneider nd nobody else..but i still believe that a fit arsenal team for consistently long period of time can beat any team in the world like they did 2 barca at the emirates but we need 2 strengthen our bench cos its the same story every year opur players r not fit nd the bench is so weak that they cant win..cummon wenger broaden ur horizons..

I would love to see that but that is not going to happen till we have Wenger. Wenger is an idealist sort of manager. According to him football is supposed to be played in a certain way. If you want to win you have to do it in a certain way. If he invests in some player he will keep on working on them even if they fail in delivering trophies because for Wenger winning trophies is not important but the manner in which we win is important. There is no question about the quality of football arsenal play. But Arsenal do not improve their weak points. This is what pisses me the most. Arsenal never know how to score goals from set pieces - forget defending one.

Sir Alex Ferguson Declares He Would Be Happy If His Treble Chasing Manchester United Win Just One Trophy - Goal.com

I m happy to hear this..
The gaffer has said 2-3 players defnitiely coming in the summer..!!

surely every football loving puy here will feel sad on india 's current condition in football.
some indians played at international level like sam chopra(played in bpl) and vikas dhorasoo(member of French national football team in world cup 2006 and played alongside with henry, ribery and zidane)..my fellow puys are right .things will only improve when we start promoting the game at school level, parents won't allow there children to take football as a career until there are bright prospects in it..today club football is active only in bengal, kerela, some eastern states and goa.
another way of promoting the game (not only football) is to appoint a sportperson(of same game) as its federation president.priya ranjan dasmunshi was president of indian football federation for 20 years, what good he has done..in an interview baichung bhutia has said that he will like to take a job as official in indian football federation rather then becoming a coach to improve the condition of game.
all sports bodies are headed(for long period of time) by politicians or ias officers who does not care about the game ..its baffling to see why sports person are not heading it.in present scenario i dont see anything changing rapidly for indian football:oops::oops::oops:

Chelsea transfer news Chelsea are stepping up their efforts to land 12m-rated Ajax and Holland right-back Gregory van der Wiel. - News - MirrorFootball.co.uk

I see this happening for Chelsea in the summer.. He either goes to AC Milan or Chelsea.. most probably Chelsea..

Enjoy blues fans..!!

He was very close to joining Bayern Munich last summer.
He is a good player and is being linked with almost every top club, only thing holding him back is his price tag.
Well, seeing India in world cup is a big dream of mine too, but i cant see that happening anytime in near future
I would like to point out the football is the cheapest sport. All you need is a football, but to be a professional footballer one has to start from a very young age. Like in europe, children of age around 8 who are interested in football are usually enrolled in some football club, by the time he reaches 13-14 yrs, if he is any good, will start prioritizing football and will probably try to make a career in it for himself.
In africa poor people play football in a hope to overcome their poverty, and are motivated for the same by their families in the same hope.
And these two can't be the case in India, coz insistence on getting good marks, or to be a engineer/doctor/manager is very high in India for the first case to happen, and unfortunately poor people in India knew only one game - cricket.
And thats why I think its going to take a lot of time for India to establish itself as a big football playing country.

yes u r right but if poor ppl r made aware of the advantages of a football career nd the game they can go a long way thru proffessional training like my school coach(he has taken proffessional course from hungary) has been giving coaching 2 slum kids for 2-3 years nd they r developing as a real talent if they stick around they can go a long way..we want initiatives like this only then we can hope 2 succeed..

I guess wenger should go for another striker such as Hugo Rodallega or Kevin Gameiro (best option to replace Bendtner). We need atleast one in each line. He should go for the dutch keeper, he should also go for cahill or Philippe Mexes or Jan Vertonghen. Regardless the performance of Fabregas this season, it would really be a tough task to find the best replacement for him. I see Wilshere taking his place. Last season Ramsey was looking good to take his place before he got injured. For midfield again Wenger should go for Mikel Arteta or Gourcuff.

beauracracy is no doubta key hurdle in our country but more than that what is needed is the passion nd we have 2 promote that passion in our country for soccer cos we can see how the football in poverty ridden african countries has developed despite no infrastructure nd all..not only africa see iraq who was war ridden nd people were so insecure how did they win the asia cup it ws simply incredible..so we cant blame the lack of infrastructure..the main thing that is missing is the PASSION..there is not much support from the officilas for poor african countries nd iraq but still they r playing so well..we hve 2 promote in some ways or the other..we shud discuss innovative ideas in this regard..:cheerio::thumbsup:

Yes true... but Chelsea sporting director has admitted their firm interest in Jan in him as long term replacement to Ashley Cole..

Bayern were after him but since many other big clubs wanting him Ajax are holding out for a good price..
n with Chelsea i dnt expect Bayern to be able to compete for a transfer fee.. yes Bayern are looking for a full back including Jose enrique whose also a target for Milan n Munich..

I am going slightly off topic here, But what a win for India!!!!!!
India vs Pakistan is always special and nothing in the world can beat it (maybe Arsenal win over barcelona in champions league final can equal it 😛 :p).
Proud to be Indian.

With the premier league resuming on Saturday, people will have a hard time managing both the WC final and your favorite clubs match. To make things easier, I think only one match will be broadcasted while the final is going on. :cheerio:

Wazza aka Rooney gets 2 goals in a span of 10 mins to square up 2-2

I m gunning up for the 3rd Utd goal..!!:
I m holding my breathe..!!:cheerio::cheerio:

Utd get the 3rd to lead from 2 goals behind..!!

Man Utd Vs West Ham 4-2

Thats why we r Utd.. we dnt give up till Refree blows up the Whistle..!!
