Football Club -- Part Deux

I feel none of the goalkeepers linked with United are capable of filling VDS shoes. De Gea is too young and unproven in the big stage to be given the no. 1 shirt. I liked Rene Adler a lot but his injury has cost him a lot.I don't rate Hugo Lloris and Maarten stekelenburg highly. Only guy left is Manuel Neuer who can be trusted as he has played in the big stage. Lets see how does he fare against Inter Milan.

More than that i want Scholes to stay for 1 more year evn if we buy a CM i.e. his replacement n for other young CMs in ous academy n Cleverley development when he returns to UTD..

though i think we bought Anderson considering him as his replacement in a few years den.. but he hasnt yet lived up to it.. so we need 1 more CM n a Defensive Box2Box midfielder..

SAF is surely going for a attacking as well as a defensive midfielder this summer. With Douglas Costa present in the directors box I feel something is going on in the background. Jack Rodwell is also rated highly and linked heavily with us. But,the thing is in the last few year all the transfers of Manchester United have been so out of the blue ala Chicharito,Smalling etc and under such secrecy. No one even has a sniff of whats going on. This is a necessary step to keep the Abu Dhabi billionaires/ Madrid/ Chelsea from making it a bidding war.So we can keep speculating but we will only know for sure when the word finally comes out from SAF himself.

or any official news on Man Utd site and the clubs site with which player is associated currently..

a Utd journalist confirmed he was there.. n even Chicarito was dere in director's box last season bfore signing but as no one knew him then so there wasnt any headlines.

But Costa is a LW mainly or an Attacking player behind the striker..

Wouldnt be the greatest or marquee signing but nt worst if it happns for anything less than 15 M..
R u misinformed or dnt knw that De Gea has a Release clause of 16-18 M.. the only problem is that he will have a new agent i this summer..so we r waiting for that maybe then we might go for him if SAF does want him...

the only problem i see with De Gea is that 6-10 yrs later when Real Madrid n Barca come calling he would leave Utd for his home to Spain..

Tottenham r nt dat a big club whom Aguero would go to.. did he ever shwd any displeasure at bid being rejected or turn down.. Atlethico dnt sell to city rivals Real only untill they offer real crazy money..

For me Ageuro would end up at Chelsea or Real Madrid later in his Career

Dood release clause change at the will of the club... so it AT M doesnt want to sell they may even raise it to about say 30 M ..... and tot were more intrsted in Diego Forlan coz signing auguero would have been like a wild shot . From what I have seen Fergie will go for a more experienced Goalie like neuer or Stkelenburg than David De Gea , who despite being a prodigy , has less experience.

No mate u r confused.. get ur facts right.. Release clause is fixed at the time of signing contract by player if its there..

N it can only be changed when a player signs a new contract or an extension..

so it still holds if we activate it we can get him untill n unless he dsnt want to come or SAF dsnt want him..

I hope SAf can talk him out of it.

theres no chance! his wife almost died coz of her tumor so he wants to now spend all his time with her!

It wasnt tumour.. but brain haemorrhage ..
n Man Utd gave him compassionate leave for it.. n he came back midway to play for us.. that shws his committment towards us...

He wants to spend time with his family n wanna retire on a high n dnt want Schemichel type thing where his performance suddenly fell thru age though i dnt think thats the case with him..

But on personal terms he has decided to retire n lead a normal life.. though he says he would miss football
i dont agree dude...carragher did very very well...
moreover, we did create many chances and definitely did deserve a win..
though i agree that we need quality wingers....i hope we get ashley young and/or arda turan...
P.S. fantastic goal by suarez!

i like your views but i mentioned in my post about liverpool s first half performance,in first half you can clearly see many times caroll, suarez and mieiriless standing in straight line in centre(result no width),carragher was playing as a right back i agree he defended well but doesn't he is supposed to go forward to pass the ball into the box, liverpool did created chances in second half and also i mentioned about suarez in my post so please read the post first before unneccesarily groaning to it.
and if you think that performance like one in first half will win us matches in future then europe and bpl is distant dream for us.
at least you agree on the point i am constantly mentioning that we need quality wingers.(thanks for that)

With the long wait for the results, one thing which was keeping me engaged and calm was football. I was watching whatever I can lay my hands on from EPL,La liga to Serie A. Hell, even watched Dortmund vs some team in bundesliga. BTW Nuri Sahin is good. Missed a penalty though that day.

Well my point is with the international break coming up I don't know what to do. National teams don't excite me much. Oh btw in one of the interviews I was asked how can we improve the standards of football in India ?

Try to download n watch Dortmund Vs Munich match

Nuri Sahin was excellent against Schweinsteiger.. Goetze n Barrios too looked quite good.. so were Subotic n Hummels..

P.S. u would enjoy watching that match

Yes we can if we have better infrastructure n scouting network for U-14 n U-16 players.. because most ur players r nt physically on dat level as compared to others.. thats the best time to nurture their game n fitness so that they develop gud stamina n r nt injury prone...

footballing skills are best nurtured n developed only at this leve n agel to bring the better player out in future..

we dnt have those youth football leagues network etc at good scale as other nations..

Yeah me started speaking on the lines of forming academies like La Masia and nurturing the youth. Academies shouldn't just teach football but should take care of the education of the kids too. The best players would then join the Indian league which will make the league stronger and this would also attract good foreign players. In a nutshell strong league prerequisite for Strong national team. Investments can come from both government as well as the private sector.

Dood dont forget that Chelsea was midiocre club like fulham and to make something world class you have to invest money . Youth academies cant churn out talents overnight . u cant really compare the youth academies of arsenal and utd with tha of chelsea ... and all the clubs including man utd and arsenal go out in the cheap markets of eastern europr and americas buy young talentr and brand them as their youth academy proudcts

Seriously i dnt have a reply... bcz some things Chelsea fans wnt n never understand...

any player U-18 is a youth player for me even if he comes form Ajax's academy or anywhere else bcz they r with bags f potential but need to be guided to become a star player..

Chelsea r following Utd n Arsenal youth model f a little late bcz they cnt buy mercenaries after FFP rulings come in.. plzz read FFP rules if u dnt hav any info abt it.. it means Financial Fair Play..

btw Man Utd Academy products- Giggs , Scholes , Beckham , Keane , Tom Cleverley , Danny Welbeck , O Shea , Darren Fletcher , Evans , Ravel Morrison , Ryan Tunicliffe to name a few..

As for Arsenal i would let my Gooner Bros answer to that..

it's best to ignore this kind of posts, still....

First things first, just because it suits your definition of "youth product" doesn't make rooney a Man Utd product. He'll be always everton's youth product. What next ? Smalling is a man utd product ?

BTW, Roy Keane is a man utd. product ? Good god that you haven't mentioned Cantona also.

O shea, Evans...really ?

I am sure you guys will prefer them playing for man utd and have fully-fit Rio and Vidic on the bench ?

Tell me this one thing, apart from aging giggs and scholes, who are the current man utd. players you look up to, as game changers, who have came up the ranks from the academy ?

Vidic, ferdinand, nani, rooney, evra, berba......they are NOT the man utd. products.

Time to move on from giving examples of giggs and scholes to glorify your youth academy.

And about ravel morrison and Tunicliffe, and welbeck also, they are unproven.

We don't go gaga over Josh, PVA, kakuta you see.

Yeah bro agreed it's time to move on from giving examples of Giggs, scholes, beckham, both neville's,butt etc. That group of players were something special which would always be difficult to replicate. Also agreed that welbeck(he is playing well though) ,cleverley, morrison and others are still unproven. But at least we are trying to bring players up through the academy and give them a chance. I am sure next year we will see a lot more of welbeck and cleverley in united colours. And how exactly is Chelsea trying to brood young players ? By Throwing out millions on Torres and Luiz ?

And while the talk was about youth products,I didn't know kakuta was a academy product of chelsea because,as far as i remember a transfer ban was imposed by Fifa on chelsea over the transfer of Kakuta from Lens. Also Isn' t PVA from PSV Eindhoven ?

Did anyone say here that Chelsea is trying to promote youth players ?
Did I say that ?
I just responded to the unnecessary dig that your fellow united fan made towards chelsea, by contradicting his logic.

And yeah, I shouldn't have mentioned Josh there. I was trying to say that we dont claim that kakuta, pva etc are chelsea products, to suit our needs.

Aise to would hav written Da silva twins etc too...

I consider that logic abt a Youth Player.. not an Academy player...

they r two diff things....

hahaha and they say girls fight way more than boys do
we all hav our own opinions....which are mostly biased towards the team we support....bt i think the Utd vs Chelsea saga is never ending! i'm personally tired of it, nowadays wen a chelsea supporter(most of my friends and family) starts off I jst take the high road and say yes yes Utd sucks...which we dont but kya karre nazar lag jati hai:lookround:

Man City are the new chelesa aaj kal

City are a club without any ethics..Chelsea still deliver when they spend money.. but Mancini's defensive n poor line up n buys means they drain money for no use..

The problem is not only inflated fee but such huge Wages they have shwn to young kinds n boys n made them spoil brats..
Read an article by Giggs who condemned it by saying it took him N no. of years to reach to a 90k a week salary...

They use Utd Scouting network n go on to watch all players we watch n almost after every player we r scouting.. be it Sanchez , Pastore or Ganso or Hulk or Rodwell or Henderson..

Btw i expect 1 of the player from Dortmund to come to Utd as Utd are even reported to be scouting training sessions of Dortmund...

It can be either Kagawa , Sahin or Goetze.. i would love either of them pref Sahin..
