I feel chelsea as the strongest contender of 2nd spot if not the title.

2nd place is a bit too much..can be attained, but arsenal needs to underperform like they are doin right now..

I still fear Chelsea for the title run in than Arsenal for Man Utd..

Even if Utd are taken over by Qataris i would still not want them to spend extrvagant n inflated prices for players..
its better to buy young players like AOC from saints.. i really like this wonderkids play.. Tunicliffe , Pogba, AOC n Morrison can form a good deadly partnership in future for UTD..
I wish Josh McEacheran was at Utd too.. though he was a die hard Utd fan n used to go watch Utd play every fortnight.. He ended up at Chelsea..
If not Charlie Adam then i would go for Nuri Sahin.. or maybe both.. both are cheap n value for money players..
I pray every day that we get Nuri Sahin.. he made Schweinsteiger look crap against Bayern..
One thing that I've found most impressive about united over the years is their purchases. They've bought sheer talents and made them into legends...if I start on names the list goes on and on Even if united are taken over by some multi millionaire, SAF has always been smart in this area and He'll be as long as he stays.
Chicharito is a classic example of the case I'm presenting here...also Berba...people said he's a failure blah blah...but he's one of the most talented strikers in the world and SAF recognized that and bought him. Also look at Vidic (the best CB in the world right now in my book)
Perhaps his only stupid purchase was Owen but given his price, wasn't that big a disaster.
Chelsea and Man City need to learn from United in this regard.
chicharito has been simply awesome throughout..he has repaid the faith SAF was having when he signed him..i dont know how Bebe will be..but berba for 30mn was a bit expensive..might be coz it was done at the last day..
If u r referring to Michael Owen.. dat was on a free transfer.. so it was worth a gamble.. he even got goals in crucial matches at crucial points last season.. n it has helped in Chicarito's n other young ST in Utd youth academy development.. if u look at Hernandez goal instincts its similar to Owen.. he is a mix of Owen n Solksjaer for me..
If its Hargreaves then 17 million was worth it n he showed it in his short tenure at Utd.. he looked better than Essein in DM position.. but unfortunately it was his injury which has almost ended his career..
As for Berba he has the best 1st touch than anyone in the premier league. he was bought to link up play for Rooney.. the issue is Utd dnt hav creativity in midfield so they rely only on counter attacks n he slows the game down in it.. with a gud creative CM Beba would be more effective i believe.. if not 30 M then he was atleast worth 25 M at that time.. We paid more bcz City also entered into the Bidding War but he wanted to go to Utd only..

I knw he scored pretty well recently bt he was a complete disaster last season, his passes nvr got completed and he cant even run very fast fr a striker.

Lloris.. no thank u... look at his height.. wnt succeed in EPL.. hes a gr8 stop stopper thats it.. nothing more or else.. he is so nervous on the crosses.. n ball distribution is aweful..
As for Berba i dnt understand why he faces so much criticsm.. look at his no. of assists last season.. he was nevr bought to get goals.. only few of them n mostly for assists n link up play.. yes he slows down our counter attack.. but think o it if we had a Modric tpe CM den he cud hav been a lot effective...
dis season as Rooney played very few games in 1st part of Season so the pressure was on him for being d goal scoring machine n he hs done job well.. yes he has been inconsistent thats right n he dsnt play against top 4 teams.. i would take dat as his Cons..
We had to pay 30 M only thanks to City for lurking after him n With Spurs always wanting too much price they gave us no option..
Plus his transfer saga went on to the deadline day n dat always inflates a players price...
As for Germans.. they dnt come to EPL much.. i will tell u why bcz of high enemity bw English n German football teams as a nation..

Look at Scott Parker for example as a player he plays so good nw for West Ham but what happnd to him when he was at Chelsea.. some players r only suited to play for mid teams not at best Clubs in the world.. they r prone to error at big clubs..
