@chelseaboy Congrats! Good that you made that point, because I know at least 10 ex-Chelsea fans, who support Manchester United, Barcelona or Manchester City these days!
True ... that 2005 season ... but the quality of players this season has been severely hit by Wenger'd Disinvestment Strategies.... This time it might be harder
The stadium move has caused a massive problem to Arsenal.
Let's be honest. We are the victims of our own success. The success that Wenger bought with the Invincibles has left a massive impact on Arsenal fans, who believe success is their birth right. Unfortunately, things haven't worked that way.
We have had to sell stars, to even out finances. There are several examples of clubs which moved stadiums, which eventually proved detrimental to the club's immediate future.
Moving to the board, I am an anti-board fan myself, and I want the likes of Hill-Wood, Gazidis and Kroenke out, before they ruin my beautiful club, by just lying there and making wads of cash.
Regarding players, Fabregas was my favorite player, and I have nothing against him. He served the club with great dedication and he was a great player. Remains humble, and still is an Arsenal fan. Arsenal fans are divided on his departure.
But, van Persie had no right to turn his back on a manager who had made him the player he is today, stuck with him through 7 years of injury, visited him in jail when he was arrested when guilty of rape, and literally cared for him like a child! One awesome season, and the Dutch Skunk decided it was time to make a move, and that too, to ManU, a club which has been so long Arsenal's rivals. (Sadly, not anymore)
Just saying, but had the players stayed, Arsenal would have been a much stronger proposition than it is today, with players like Fabregas, van Cunty, Nasri, Adebayor etc. Sadly, there is very little loyalty these days!
@abhibeloved@chelseaboy To call yourselves as the Premier club in the capital requires some standing. Just because Chelsea have had a successful decade, albeit with a lot of managers and needless spending, doesn't exactly entitle them to that distinction. Coming to the 8 year thing, I agree it is an extremely tough situation for the club. Especially, in the modern era, where everything is judged in terms of trophies. Arsenal have moved stadiums, a 560 million pound investment in itself, and that is a mammoth sum. It will be few more years till Arsenal can balance out the cheques and be competitive again. Yet, Arsene Wenger has kept the club competitive, despite having to deal with traitors like Cole, van Cunty and Nasri. A CL Final, 2 CL semi's, 2 LC Finals, and a couple of close PL finishes. (We just failed to cross the finishing line when it mattered the most. )And, while you are talking about trophy droughts, may I remind you that even clubs like Chelsea and Manchester United have gone decades without silverware! Luck runs round in circles, guys! This is football! Finally, jealous? Please, I am not a glory hunter. I don't support Arsenal for the trophies, I support them despite the trophies. If you can spot the difference, then good for you, if you can't, go watch cricket!
So what you are saying is lack of money is the main reason of your failure. So what is exactly wrong with you when you say Chelsea has a billionaire owner, I mean that's a good thing I guess, isn't it :P.
And my friend we are not glory hunter either, I am supporting Chelsea like from 9-10 years and so is @chelseaboy. And tell me again what is exactly wrong in watching cricket, You love a game that doesn't mean other sports are bullshit. Have a sportsman spirit my friend.
@abhibeloved I didn't say money necessarily. There is a long list of problems that have beset Arsenal, which has meant we have fallen way off the pack. I can go on and on with the problems, but anyways I didn't want to make this a Chelsea-Arsenal debate, which it looks like it has become now.
The cricket thing was just a pun. Sarcasm. Thought you may get it!

haha well this debate is the best part of this game, this makes us what we are, a true fan.
And that sarcasm thing, yeah I am really bad at getting high level sarcasm :|.
@TONYMBA 2 of my favourite clubs( i have a long list) against each other..feeling nostalgic for milan...Still misses the glory days of Sahvenko-Inzaghi-Crespo at front and Cafu-Maldini-Nesta( probably best defense on planet) at back and Kaka-Pirlo-Rui costa-Tomasson/seedorf at middle and assured dida at goal post..those were the times

ah!!!! remember that AC Milan and juventus final when dida stopped 4 penalties and shevcenko scored the final penalty :)
So milan just need to net one goal at Camp Nou and they will be almost through..considering Barca defense and super talented goalkeeper, this task is not that difficult!
but still cant rule Barca out..Though it is now sure they are extremely ineffective against Buses..need a henry/neymar kind of speed upfront to support messi against these buses
AC MILAN won and m very happy... ball possession did not count always......one of the strongest and best defending line i saw last night from AC MILAN....tough for BARCA at Camp Nou to comeback.. all 2nd leg matches gonna be a cracker....w8ing for 6th and 7th march...
