Football Club -- Part Deux

@Budokai001 Europa wala? We played OK. Our princess (Torres) as usual had a disappointing day. Waiting for FSW to be sacked. :)

@chelseaboy bro u never shared ur opinion on ur match yesterday.. Didn see the match. How did u guys play ?
We played Wat i Call Time-Pass football, No Passion ....
@chelsea1712 lol 😁
@Budokai001 Good news is that Atletico Madrid lost yesterday. I think its by far the team to watch out for in Europa. Which club you support?

@chelsea1712 hehe .. Heard from few Chelsea fans that they were happy that Ath Madrid lost

But i want Chelsea to meet them head on again and prove them that Chelsea is better than Ath Madrid now !!

Im a Red Devil :)

@Budokai001 Red Devil? Nice. Phil Jones was kadak against CR7. Interesting match coming up
at Old Trafford.
TBH, I am pretty confident that Ath Madrid are pretty strong, and given Chelsea's defensive problems, they are my favorites to win the Europa. But anything can happen (take last year UCL for instance)..
@chelsea1712 bro i think Ath Mad will be knocked out in this round only... they lost 0-2 to rubin kazan at home!!!

add Napoli also in that list :mg:
@chelseaboy Lets hope it happens. But I saw the match and Ath Madrid dominated. Falcao hit the post, Turan missed and they were many easy chances. Rubin Kazan's second goal was pure luck. Tricky second leg coming up. Hopefully RZ wins. :D
@Budokai001 I love cricket and football both...but everytime i heard the logic that cricket is ruining every other sport in india..I just laugh..

So exactly how cricket is ruining...It is 8 hrs long..have some really boring sessions in between( 15-40 overs)..Played by very few countries..Yet it is able to grab the attention of 1.5 billion strong subcontinent which no other sport has( 4 test teams). so ae cricketers saying please dont watch other sport ( in fact if you watch most of the tweets..they will be following F1, tennis, football)..or is cricket taking up all the sponsorship and asking advertisers please dont sponsor hockey or football?

As a advertiser/sponsor why would i put money on sport when i know return value is low..Even cricket suffers from same fate in ranji and domestic leagues..

The very basic and inherent reason for cricket game following from young age is that it can be played easily within short spaces( hit directly to wall..out and other rules) and even on roads and with less players ( 3-4) unlike football, hockey whih atleast require a ground...

Coming back to football discussions..Bale is going strong day by day...RMA is trying to sign him as he looks like a player who deserve a top flight football..
@Proziumz : football is ruined in our country only due to skewed football administration...nothing else matters if best 11 of the country will play football for India
@TONYMBA yes that could be one of the reasons..but its like a cyclic loop..administration is ruined so football doesnt yield resulds so people not watching..people not watching so administration become ruined so football suffers...Football doesnt yield results so people not watching so administartion ruined...Indian cricket was also suffering before '83..but one surprise world cup win changed all..And i still doubt that our administartion is more worse than those of some of the africans countries, middle east, vietnams,nepal..Whatever be the admisnistration we sure doesnt have any excuse of getting 160 rank out of 192 playing countries???...

It looks good in comfort and promise when we always say that given the right administartion we can be world beaters...sometimes we just hadn't the right talent and right push from childhood..And having long army of talented football "fans" necessary doesnt mean we have "talented" football players..We have but certainly they are far from world class..and both administration and the upbringing of sporting culture is responsible for that.
@Proziumz : well i played for regional and state level,,,got selected for national, but the administration and selection process showed me why India lags in football....only oil massaging works to play a minute for the national...it feels quite sad to see such problems when we barring the acads and trying to do some good for football in INDIA...deserving candidates never get chance to go the highest level...see money is not the problem....
@TONYMBA selection process is absolutely pathetic in every sport !...see any under 16 cricket team and you will find abnormalities even there..But my point is that keeping the administration problem aside, we still arent that much talented as of now..See our performance in non team sports where selection process plays a small part..Singles Tennis( zero), Badminton( except saina no one..when perhaps i think this is the most popular sports in every engineering college along with table tennis and counter strike), table tennis( zero), Volleyball, atletics(even poor east africans are churning gold medals in every race where facilities are poor), chess( except v anand we just produced youngest IM,GM's whoo just faded away on big stage), squash ....I still remember Baichung bhutia( our best and most well known footballer) performance in second division england clob..he was just out of place both physically and in agility..administration is absolutely pathetic in many of the sports federations of our country,,But other than that and before than..we are simply a non sporting culture country..

@ well i think we should stop the topic here and concentrate on what we love..That is football:D

Looking forward to Bayern Munich Domination against Gunners...Germans always plays like a well oiled machine..

You are saying this on 16th Feb.

Underestimate Arsenal at your own peril.
Bavarian is a better team no doubt but gunners have the potential to cause an upset. Who could forget Arsenal winning 2-1 against Barca exactly 2 years ago in Champions League.

And Arsenal lost to Barca in the return leg nah? :D
Arsenal have the potential but with the lineup that Bayern has, its going to be very difficult.

Coming to Bale, too early to compare him with Ronaldo/Messi. Messi scored 95 times last year. If Bale crosses 30, he has my respect.

Bayern have now a goal difference of +50 in the Bundesliga... And they are 18 points clear off Dortmund over night.

I feel for Arsenal fans. Such a difficult draw.
@chelsea1712 I know gunners did lost out to barca in the return leg and that is the reason I said they have the potential to cause upset.
@maddy0707 and the fact is, that can be said of every team in football..Even greece did won a Euro..fc porto a champions league..Well i am no Gunner hater:P.. infact used to follow their matches when Henry was there)..always felt they manage to hit more than their weight most of the times..But bayern is no ACmilan or city with high class performance one day and dud in another..they are consistent and thats their biggest strength..Plus they consist of german national team( which is absolutely brilliant) just like barca.. but lets see..hoping for a cracker
