@Omkarp if u put compare all these player of this time, and the parameter is national team performance and winning matches with own effort n do wonders with ball, then i must say, zidane is the god damn best, just watch his 360degree turn, nobody can do like that. one one more player deserves more attention is Arjen Robben of Bayern M端nchen !!!!

I am not saying he changed the game for united, he changed how midfielders played. At his prime, he was one of the very few midfielders who also scored 20+ goals. So, he did something most of his peers weren't. He can stitch beautiful passes, be a playmaker and provide cover for the defense too.

Scholes also wasn't alone mate... he had Keane..Giggs..Beckham, Veron...so he had gr8 players to play with. I even read an article that when he was given a trial at Man Utd, SAF himself admitted there's nothing special in him. well, you can't say lampard is better than scholes... they are legends in their own rights, but scholes comes nowhere to Lamps in regards to goal scoring ability. Plus Scholes' defending is horrible and his tackling, the less said the better.
At the same time, when he's in the mood no one can dominate the midfield better with defence splitting passes

Exactly, we can't say who is better. But what they are doing is exaggerating Scholes and underestimating Lampard.
