Honored to have our DT captain post in this thread :)
As you have pointed out, they both played on the same pitch. So it was rather silly of Wenger to mention that after the match, specially because he had lost the match and he is renowned as a sore loser.
In the same breath, he did credit United defence. He did not held that as the reason for the loss. Infact to quote him:
"The intensity was high but it was a very bad pitch," said the Frenchman. "The technical quality suffered as a result and that's why you saw mistakes from both sides." - BBC News
I said before only, that this would happen, then some of the gunner supporters here, were blabbering upon me,I wonder where are they now.:lookround:After its Red Devils and gunners have not been able to beat us in past few meetings, now as usual Wenger is givinn excuse for bad pitch.:biggrin:Even we played in d same pitch, but its ok,I knew that Wenger would be ready with his excuses after loosing the match. So we are in the top of the table,we are still undefeated this season, what else can anyone expect as a Red Devil fan, long live Fergie.:cheerio:Now Chelsea be ready for thrashing from us,this weekend. GLORY GLORY MAN UNITED
Wenger has an excuse every time..This tym if not a TV reply then a bad pitch.. Why cant he understand that they were not d only team playing on d pitch.. we deserved the win... Asenal done now chelsea next...beware, the red devils r coming for d blue blood, marchin on on on... Glory Glory Man Utd...
A lovely curling Fabio Aurelio free-kick was the show-stealer.....
YNWA.....
Its a pity that fans have to look back to games of the past to be happy bout anything, just coz their current form and results dun offer anythin them to cheer about....
I won't ruin ur happyness and u can celebrate in whichever way you want...
Coming to Arsenal game....
I went to Man United Bar for the match and believe me there were equal number of Arsenal supporters there, but most of them were disappointed by their teams performance after the match and so was I...
After the recent results I expected a lot more from Arsenal and Arsene, but with Fab, RVP and Walcott on bench I realized that it won't be much of a thriller...The only positive that Arsenal had was the keeper (Polish guy) can't spell his name...It would have been a worse scoreline for them had he not pulled up some great saves....
Still 2 more weeks of top of the tables clash and 1 result might change everythin....
I dont understand what was the the strategy behind Arsene Wenger not giving Theo Walcott more time.He was about 15 mins on the pitch and delivered a few good crosses and also made some good runs.He was also good in the last game in Champions League.
Not playing Theo from the start or atleast start of second half was definitely not a good strategy. Also Fabregas looked sluggish and he and Van Persie made almost nill impact after coming on unlike Theo.Wenger might try to rationalize his wrong tactical decisions by saying the pitch was poor , but it was so for both the teams.

The worst part of the defeat was the comments by various players have wound up every gooner ...each and every one of them is so motivated but the players dont feel anything at all....this team is as skilled as the invincibles but the guts and spirit is missing.
I also wanted walcott to be introduced at half time ...when ur losing it makes sense to have ur best attacking players on the pitch ..wenger
at least we have got history, what does arsenal have.
A manager which lives in a fools paradise ( he thinks he can win title with boys...... never gonna happen).
One more thing i m not arsenal basher, in fact i like their style but arsene gonna take u now where as far as landing trophies are concerned
oh don't even get me started on what kind of a team Liv-uh-pool have been this season..the kind of football they are playing and have been thrashed by which other teams!! Yes you have history but i guess that's all you have now..
even in ESPN pre show i haven't heard the term BIG 4 for quite some time now.. its just the BIG 3..!! i and so many others have pretty good reasons to think that you will not make it even to the Europa league this season.. infact being in the top half of the table would be kind of an achievement..!! I don't believe you watched last night's europa league game.. it was such a poor poor performance from 'pool.. and now you have Roy Hog blasting away Joe Cole.. i know how Joe wishes he wud have made a wiser move..!!
So buddy look in your own house first before pointing fingers.. atleast Arsenal are genuine title contenders.. what are you.. championship contenders mayb?? so keep feeling nostalgic about the good ol' days and keep discussing about the years gone by.. Good luck!!
I'd love to see two totally new teams in the Finals this season.
A Shaktar Donestk versus Tottemham Hotspur would be very exciting.
Getting bored to see the same old teams in the Semis as well. Some change is good.
Dont worry you wont see the same teams as last year in the finals or semis.
But the only way there is a
Shaktar Donestk versus Tottemham Hotspur final is if uefa bans all matches and decides the finalists by its executive committee voting which favors champions league going to a team which hasn't won it yet.
