Football Club -- Part Deux

Brazil thrashes China 8-0 with Neymar scoring a hattrick.

I think this loss will be taken seriously by the Chinese, and this might be the start of another revolution there. Within a matter of years from today, the Chinese Dragons will be one of the best footballing teams in the world.

I wished if we had the same flare for revolution.

I felt like Brazil wanted to prove a point. Well China mein WC hua toh they will win 😛

I was just flipping pages of some old threads and this came to my eyes. :mg:
This is this years PGCA final points list. Everytime I see this, it reminds me of the La Liga 😁 😁 :mg:
So here the comparison goes.

So, comprehensive points table goes as :
1. Sakshi - 408 (Barcelona)
2. hirakms - 405 (Real Madrid)
3. Dark Miasma - 226 (Valencia)
4. azuri - 57 (Malaga)
5. achilles heel - 41 (Athletic Bilbao)
6. palliative1989 - 37 (Atletico Madrid)
7. h T c - 25 (Levante)
8. ripun2714 - 23 (Sevilla)
9. Akhil Tiwari - 22 (Real Betis)
10. StadiumArcadium - 3 (Racing Santander)

Seems like even contributors of this thread have gone on International Break

@Adymos Hehehe..Not International Break...Exam Break..!! :)

Ibra says PSG can win the Champions League. Well, whats your take on it?

In my opinion, they won't even win a single trophy this season. Their only chance of lifting something made out of expensive metal is the French Cup.

Maybe next year, they can even think of giving some serious competition to the other European clubs, but not this year. Not yet! :mg:

Yeah totally agree with you,it will be nothing short of a miracle if they go on to win champions league.

But they have the potential to fight for the coveted trophy in 2-3 years time as they have players of exceptional caliber like Ibra,Silva, lavezzi and Moura who will take their time to settle down and act as a cohesive unit.
Plus, they have support of Qatar's government, so they can surely get some more quality players in subsequent transfer seasons.

PSG need to learn from Man City... Splashing Money does not mean instant success.

@Adymos - Man City was in the hands of a mid-table manager when the money came in the fist time. It was Mark Hughes who was the manager. He bought all the players he was comfortable working with and he also tried to sign the immediate stars like Adebayor, Ronaldinho, Robinho, Kaka. Signing Roque Santa Cruz, Wayne Bridge, Bellamy was unnecessary. Just because you got money doesn't mean you buy everyone you like giving more than what they deserve!
Things got better after Mancini came in. And the team performed well under him. He had managed a bigger club with bigger stars before, and in my opinion was more suitable for the cash-rich Citizens.

But in the case of PSG, thats no so. They have a brilliant manager and strategist in the form of Ancelloti and he has made brilliant signings with his money so far.
I see them succeeding faster than Manchester City for sure.

But this is not the year. :nono: Not yet.

What is this??? Looks like fantasy points but can't understand the numbers..

Well, it is Friday and time for managing our fantasy teams! The international break looked so long that I wanted it to end everyday from last Sunday. Not sure if the break is worth it as so many players get injured while playing for country and we won't be able to see them play for some time.

I would be really happy if I can get back RvP and Kagawa asap(Evra can some time if he wants :D) Read that it is not such a big injury for RvP.

Abou Diaby injury can cost Arsenal much if it is a major one.

The ones that have been majorly affected would be Newcastle with Krul, Coloccini, Cabaye, Tiote getting injured or aggravated their injuries for that matter.

Chelsea might be without Ashley Cole for the derby against QPR which will be played more for non-footballing reasons!

Cannot see any other notable injuries but it is time to change half my fantasy squad with almost everyone injured 😞 Wild Carddddd

Finally, the weekend got some football... Arsenal... What beauty!!!

@BABA_Pencho

They might win the french league or rather might buy the French league

Liked the way Utd played yesterday, especially buttner and nick powel.... looks like replacements have arrived for evra and scholes........

Champions league starting this week, but getting increasingly difficult to fit in game timings with exam's so close.....
