Football Club -- Part Deux

its just that unlike others arsenal fans dont talk about history, cause we are not fans because of history but because the style of football they play..

yeah yeah i know it doesnt work sometime.. good teams with good defense can stop arsenal from scoring.. and barcelona play better football..
but still there is something in arsenal which we all love..
and it doesnt matter if you are united fan or liverpool fan.. if you love football you cant hate arsenal..

Dude, you have no idea how much I adore watching Arsenal play THEIR football. Barcelona has more or less one bunch of fixed players who play wonderfully, but it is still a question unanswered that whether their successors can keep up to the current team's expectations.

We all are amazed how SAF with a bunch of unknown, young lads manage to finish 2nd this season. But look at Wenger man! He does that every year!! We might joke as much as we want that he has been running a French Academy and not a Club, but let us all accept the fact that he has made some of the BIG NAMES UNDER HIM. He has groomed, and trained them and made them one of the best in the world!

No disputes about How good Wenger has been over the years and his ability to nurture gems, but since somewhere history was mentioned Wenger inculcated the Beautiful football theme into gunners, Before that they were a typical English side with with very good track record..

Arsenal has been the most worshiped team to have not won a single trophy for 7 years in running....not trying to rub salt to injury, what I mean is the fans have been very loyal and need something to cheer.. hopefully they come good coming season..But for that buy a few good defenders Arsene!!

Zidane : I feel he was the best mid fielder ever, the Talisman..Just having him in team sent morale of teams sky high..
Pele: Records speak for him..people do..
Maradona: Absolute patriot in 86, selfish thereafter, but truly a one man army, forget about Argentina, with him a mediocre Napoli seemed invincibles!
Messi and Ronaldo(Christiano I suppose) are truly unlucky to be playing in same generation, but we are luck to be up for a treat, they should not be considered the best in History as yet, a lot of History needs to written, and they would do it..

Bhai logo galat taar cheedh diye....college ke football wale din yaad dila ke.
Ab to aur bhi jyada lag rha hai ki IT job sucks big time.

During first year, i was used a substitute defender.:sneaky:

In second year,i was the best defender in the team...as andy says in FIFA"some guys just love defending"
Played as a center back in initial sem. and slowly improved my attacking skills and started playing as a full back.

In third year, played in central midfield and controlled the pace of the game. Was the creative spark in midfield.:grin:But also loved going forward sometimes. No doubt my idols were Stevie G, Cesc Fab and our own Frankie.

Final year, played at the same position and became a penalty specialist for the team
But in the college tournament played again as a center back due to injured defenders.Even, i was playing with heavy strapping on my foot.
Lost in the semi-final of the tournament. Thanks to own goal by our full back on a corner and a missed penalty by our vice-captain.
Me, i was the captain and played for only 60 min.Couldn't bear the pain anymore.

Nowadays i play on FIFA only and hoping to play for my dream MBA college team for 2 years.

Definitely Zidane Just recall the matches of World cup 2006. Even Brazilians looked helpless when they were trying to grab the ball from ZizouHis dribbling skill was outstanding.

Dude arsenal have defenders, vermaelen and koscielny both are really good. only problem is consistency or rather inconsistency. both tend to make horrible mistakes which have cost arsenal important games.

Anyway... any update on benayoun transfer to emirates?

Chelsea have issued deadline that they want a decision by the end of this week if Arsene wants to sign Benayoun, so hav to wait till the week...& yes defensewise a lot of mistakes have cost us matches like 4-3 to Blackburn etc., esp. the own goals, mostly by koscielny..also 1 more formidable CM is reqd along with Arteta(since Arteta is injury-prone), so if M'Vila is indeed coming(80% sure), then midfield is taken care of..& as for forwards, well we have the best in the business right now, teamed with the Best Young player of WC 2006 ! 😃

Well i don't know how many of us have noticed the errors made by Song. He is a defensive midfielder but he likes to go up front and that has resulted in conceding goals on many occasions. It's true that he had made some world class passes but it's also true that he has failed in holding his position many times. Ramsey has been a big failure too this season. He still is a good player but he has been really really bad. We really missed Arteta and Ramsey was certainly not up to the mark. Gervinho too doesn't know what to do with the ball in final third.
Coming to RvP, yes he had a brilliant season, but let's be honest, what had he done for the club before this season? injuries, injuries and only injuries. Time and again the club and fans supported him no matter what. He hasn't helped us much in winning trophies before this season. Now when he had a phenomenal season, he remembers all of a sudden that we've not won anything since a long time. We really don't want to hear this kind of crap from our main man. We need him more than ever and despite knowing this if he leaves then I wont be reluctant to hate him just like I hate Nasri.

PS: Would really like Benayoun to stay. I remember him running down the field and defending when Song and other defenders used to sleep. But Wenger has this crap policy of giving one year contract to players above age 30. Benayoun might not like this.

Good news for Torres fans
Coach Vicente del Bosque recalled Fernando Torres along with fellow Chelsea teammate Juan Mata for Spain's warm-up matches ahead of the upcoming European Championship
The kind of dedication Torres has shown over last few months he deserves to be in the team, especially in the absence of Villa...
Juan Mata has been unarguably the player of the season for Chelsea..
Torres may be the the hit man to look out for cuz with Xavi, Iniesta, Alonso, Silva, and Mata all in line would be ready to pass him with the deadly balls..

1 Champions League!
2 League Cups, 2 Community Shields,
3 Premier League titles,
4 FA Cups,
157 goals

Scored in all Finals...
RESPECT.. Didier Drogba

Sad that he is Leaving..:

Chelsea Offered him a 12 month Contract..He wants a 24 Month Contract..itseems.. :(
Roman Abramovich Please give him a 24 Month Extension... :|

Hope some Miracle happens..n he stays with us for Seasons to come..:

Drogba, Drogba, as we breathe.
Keep the Blue Flag Flying High.

^now it ain't about the contract. Even if Chelsea offer him a two year contract, he will leave. He wants to leave on a high note. People will remember him as the guy who won the UEFA for Chelsea. Chelsea management wants to focus on a more Torres oriented attack. If that happens, Drogba will be on the bench more than he would like. That's not the way he'd want people to remember him (as a guy who was on the bench).
Let's thank him,he'll always be in our hearts and we all know he is a legend now(and was before). Let's focus on Torres now. He can certainly take the team to newer heights.

Take a Bow Mr.Drogba,
Not just Chelsea but the Premiere league will miss you.
He was nothing short of terror for the opposition defenses, a perfect striker - Big strong, fast...made for EPL action.
His 9 goals in as many finals just speaks volume of his contributions to the Blue revolution..
But I guess this is the best time to move out, Chelsea needs rebuilding and he is too good to warm the bench, Ivorian Tusker will be remembered for his heroics
