At last, cole(lost two finals earlier),lampard,cech,terry,drogba got the much desired champions league medal on may be their last chance.
Torres joined chelsea to win champions league and have won it.
Though i am agnostic but didn't change my sitting position for the whole match when luck was in chelsea's favor......when bayern scored the goal was heart broken but then realised unintentionally i have crossed my left leg over the right one and chelsea were playing on the right side of the pitch at that time.Quickly changed it the other way and drogba scored the goal in next min.
Kept changing it based on the side chelsea was playing in extra time.
When shootout started then again me being agnostic didn't care and mata missed the penalty.So, again switched it when chelsea was shooting, keeping it uncrossed on bayern chance.Then decided to keep cross again even when bayern was shooting and to my amazement cech made two saves and chelsea won.;)

What a magical European football night...what a win for Chelsea..I for a fact know that Man Utd fans were rooting for Chelsea..as me and my friends supporting them wholeheartedly for the resilience they have shown and their old guards really deserved it, for all the disappointments they have suffered over the years..
Bayern were the better side on the night but they lost their nerve where it mattered most..in front of goal and not for the first time Robben's expertise deserted him on the most crucial of times..
But also hard luck to Tottenham ..finishing 4th usually means CL football but it was not to be for Spurs..the fans, players, mangers and owners must be devastated..
Finally who would have thought of all the high profile managers to come such as Mourinho, Ancelotti, scolari,Hiddink to chelsea, De Matteo would win the trophy for them..:) No wonder Sir Alex legendarily said "Football ..bloody Hell."
and Yeah this season, the CL final, BPL last day makes you fall in love with game again and again and yes this season has set very high standards for next seasons to follow 😃 😃
As a neutral viewer my heart goes out to Bayern... Second in the Bundesliga, Second in the DFB Cup, Second in the Champions League. The amount of luck that Chelsea have had over the course of the tournament is sickening. Never seen anything like it.
Still I can say that I hate Chelsea as much as most people but seeing Drogbas reaction made me smile. If only terry had even a shade of class or character he wouldn't have gone anywhere near that trophy and let Drogs and Fat Frank lift it.

Indeed Crazy season...I wonder if RDM had a good couple of season at WBA (like may be finishing 10 or 12 th in league) he would have never had an opportunity to manage a top club, Remember he became a coach from a Manager after being sacked..WOW!! This definitely proves that failures are the stepping stones towards success and that sometimes in life to have a giant leap you need to take a Step back
And Cahill is definitely too good for championship, Lucky chap to win UCL in his first season, possibly the Old Gurads of Chelsea worked the Magic..
And to add to it possibly the worst year for Torres individually but he wins biggest prize at club level..

boy what a game it was. 30 minutes into the game , i thought here we go again- chelsea sitting deep, absorbing all the pressure. but the second half and the extra time was one great game of football.
tactically, i think chelsea got the game spot on or should i say bayern got it wrong.. most of the bayern attack was from the middle, with the wingers cutting inside more times than going towards the byline. when a team has defended so well against the likes of barca( with the same attack from the middle), it would be comparatively easy for them to defend the same way against bayern too. and the goal from Drogba- :wow:.
and then people talk about how lucky the blues were. my take on that is when a team has reached in some 4 semifinals and a final in last 8 years, it has earned the luck.
@first timer- even though both are different leagues(Spanish and English), but yes from now on i will pray and hope that the day comes in my living life when we will have more number of titles than real Madrid. and i will come back to this forum to post , when that happens.
as an arsenal fan it breaks my heart to see chelsea win UCL before arsenal.
But i am going to concentrate more on the silver lining here.

You cannot play matches in here, and you cannot simulate them as well. You have to stand in the sidelines, analyse and play tactics in each and every match, just the way a REAL manager does.

Man i have every cd/dvd of FIFA since 99 and still cant wait for 13 to come out in Sept/Oct!! 😁
