Its a bit harsh; but disrespect and excessive ranting has become a habit for Wenger. Whether its domestic or Europe, everytime they lose a match they are expected to win; he shows disrespect by fighting with opposite manager, not shaking hands at the end of the match or persistently ranting at the ref.
In the Wigan game also, he kept on ranting to the ref about time wasting by Wigan players. Cmon Wenger, grow up!!! All teams in the lead try to run down the clock. A manager of a big club should not lose his composure due to this and should show respect to the manager of the opposite team that has claimed a deserved victory :sneaky:
True completly agree with ya, Arsene by now should have learned some of that...must learn something from people like Moyes dignified at putting up things

Despite all the talent of Arsene Wenger in moulding Arsenal to play beautiful football; he and his team are very bad losers. Arsene does not have the dignity and character of say Alex Ferguson or Harry Redknapp .

My take :
Ribery came with a magical strike in the 17th minute from a corner to take the lead.
After which Bayern defense was gritty and disciplined, Madrid were getting no chances on goal, but one momentary lapse in the back 4 and Ozil scored off Ronaldo pass, it was heartbreaking to watch Bayern concede after defending so very well.
But after the Madrid goal Bayern got better and better, not only did they defend well but got more shots on goal and finally in the 90th minute Lahm comes up with a beauty of a pass after dribbling past 2 defenders and Gomez tucks it into the net....it was as much Lahm's goal as Gomez's...

Also Gomez denied a clearcut penalty shout in the last 10 minutes...plus Ribery's denied penalty in the 14th minute....scoreline should have been 3-1 atleast.....
but advantage Bayern for the second leg, where Bayern can definitely eke out a draw if not a victory.....
PS : prediction for other semi-final ? Chelsea 0-2 Barcelona

my further take :
up until last night, i was of the opinion we would have a Clasico finale to the UCL....because Bayern were defending shoddily in the Bundesliga...
but last night, their defensive display was nothing short of rock-solid....
apart from that one mistake which saw Ozil score, Bayern were decisively snuffing out all of Madrid's attacks....Madrid barely had any shots on goal....
then, after Madrid equalised, Bayern regrouped so well, not only defensively but they also started retaining posession in the final third....
they had quite a few crosses into the box with Gomez firing a couple of shots wide....
Thenm finally with a bit of messi-esque magic from Lahm, they retook the lead
a lead which they are fully capable of defending at the Bernebeau....
Then there is the weekend Clasico in between....a loss at Camp Nou will leave Los Blancos tired and frustrated, not a good state of mind for next wednesday.....
Bayern on the other hand have given up on the Bundesliga title and will treat their weekend Bremen trip as a light warm-up for wednesday...
