Well being Man utd supporter I Definitely want them to win both..preferably beating Barca in the final..
but in hindsight I think we may win PL but it will take a lot of doing to win CL..
The 2nd half perfomance against hotspur gives a lot of encouragement and if we keep such standards who knows..what can happen....
I still think real and barca are the main contenders fr CL.....and yes fr PL money city are going to give us a run fr our money..with Nasri goin in they have best taem of PL in terms of names they have assembled there..
but we dont win trophies solely on names ..do we....
MANC may have money but we have the most passionate fans around the world and MANU signings are the just the beginnings of GOOD THINGS TO COME. Hope the Singapore IPO is a big success n we will pray Fergie gets huge transfer funds for JAN. N i am still expecting a surprise signing before the Transfer window closes.

There was talk of Arsene Wenger getting sacked had they not qualified for the Champs league group stage. Now that they have, if they do not qualify from the group, then questions will pop up again about Wenger! Not easy to progress though with Borussia Dortmund and Marsielle.. tricky ties.. Watch out for Mario Gotze and Shinji Kagawa in the Dortmund side.. both amazing talents... both linked with ManU
We need a central midfielder to succeed in Europe, no question. Against continental teams when Anderson and Cleverley will be starved of possession for long durations, they will tend to lose their defensive in midfield.
Cleverley is still only a good prospect, delighted with his progress but a little too early to depend on him and Ando for the entire season.
why is schweini still in bayern? he was the ideal candidate for the scholes spot. he extended his contract with bayern to 2016. looks like he's gonna be another one-club man stuck in an underachieving team ,like totti.

Dude there are multiple factors behind it
1. he is German playing in German League in a team which in itself is no small a club..! Bayern Munich is like Germany's or Bundesliga's Man Utd
2. Heard of German n English Rivalry..?? always been there since 2nd world war..!! dnt give me few example like Klinsmann at Spurs as very few Germans have played in EPL..
3. Is he being deprived of regular CL..?? No..!! even if his family is Man Utd fan why shud he risk it when he plays for German National side too..!!
Modric is the man who fits the Modern Scholes Role..!! Scholes is required at Utd to help Cleverley and Anderson develop and he is in the coaching staff..!!
I m extremely happy with Cleverley--- Anderson partnership as nw it makes us more creative in the midfield with Cleverley and plus SAF has never been a fan of a CM and a DM playing in Midfield.. its always B2B midfielders which have bcme very imp in modern midfield game of football..!!

even today SAF and Gill made it clear no more transfer....so no chance of any world class midfielder soon ...very remote chances...and yes the spending in jan will solely depend on where are we at that point of time....
We won't sign a marquee midfielder in January, no chance. Because all of them will be cup-tied by then and whole point of signing big is for making that European charge. In the premier league, we're fine.
Btw, did anyone see Phil Jones' performance against Spurs? What a beast of a player he is! Only 19 that too.

im just saying it was a good fit. im not saying that bayern's a bad team or anything (i admit the "underachieving team" remark is off the mark) ,just that if he had chosen to come to manu it would have been good for him too. he has "achieved" a lot at bayern, but then he could have done so at manu too. his style of play would have suited manu, and now with scholes gone, an experienced player in centre mid would have been good for us. anyways, his decision, but manu might have some problems in centre mid this season, if carrick/fletcher gets injured or has form trouble.

ya man, you are right. i'm a big fan of schweini and am a little annoyed he's not at manu. didn't mean to call bayern a small club or anything. the words just came out the way they did. german-english rivalry may indeed be the reason he wont play for manu.
modric is good but then it would be better to have a more aggresive player. so far manu have been playing some pretty nice,fowing football, but as the season wears on, in the big matches, i think SAF will have a safety first approach and probably opt for a fletcher-carrick partnership.

Am a hardcore MANU fan since 1995,and this seemed to be a repeat of a 6-2 thrashing MANU gave the Gunners back when Yorke and Cole were the strike pairs upfront......remember Arsenal wearinga yellow Kit and Henry being in the Team....
Anyways, I do like Arsene Wenger and Arsenal,just becuase of their style of play...and have respect for Wenger's coaching philosophy which is in line with SAF's...but i felt sad today, the way Gunners were beaten....that was a sham....and with 3 more days left,am not sure what Wenger can pull off as far as Transfers are concerned......
I would like to see Arsenal right up there with MANU and Liv, and am not a great fan of clubs like Chelsea/City,who are just trying to buy success.......anyways,time Wenger does something special...or else...his future at Arsenal...well seems obscure....

The line-up had one recognized defender in Abidal. Although, Barca now have almost all players, who can fit in more than one position. Total football last night. There were times, when Messi was playing way behind and Cesc was ahead of him. Both interchanging the false 9 role. Thiago was brilliant as well. Both Cesc and Sanchez scored on their La Liga debut.
C'mon man!! ManU have answered emphatically whenever ManC has made a point this season... And, ManU have the experience and the team spirit, both of which ManC lacks.. long way to go for Citeh... just noisy neighbours for now...
