paharidude Saysexactly thats what the problem has been with liverpool signings for the last 3-4 years. We tried to sign too many players who could do too many things. We signed utility players who could play all across the field instead of specialist players. Maxi , kuyt, aurelio, babel, degen, cole etc. Now we need two proper wingers, a left back and couple more players.
two wingers, a full back and if aquilani comes back.....we are done with the signings, pacheco can play the role of substitute striker..........as liverpool academy has given promising young talent to the first team this season like flangnan,robinson,spearing,jonjo shelvey and martin kelly..... ...kenny should go for the academy youngsters rather then signing overpriced players;)

A player of David Villa's calibre moved for only 30million odd......he was the golden boot winner and arguably the best striker in the world.....I don't think Man City want Mata they've too many wingers and Mata would probably sit on the bench there......

Mate it can happen bcz Tevez for me is certain to leave and Mancini i feel wanna play Silva as a CAM , Mata on left with Adam Johnson as his cover and James Milner on right(though he was gud in the centre more than as a winger) and SWP is almost certain to leave and play Balotelli upfront with Dzeko/ or any other Striker he buys and Yaya Toure plus Gareth Barry/Nigel De Jong partnership in the centre..!!
P.S. would make them a more potent attacking team than a defensive one they play nw tactically..;);)

Does it really matter that they have so many attacking players or are looking to buy so many more attacking players. When a big game comes up they are going to put 11 men on the ball and look for a 0-0. Now they are in the CL as well. The mere though makes me go
Looks like Spurs have signed Friedel. Should be the end of Gomes I think but an odd replacement it has to be said considering that Friedel is 40+. Friedel Cudicini should be good enough for this season I think

Jenkinson is going to be a world beater.
He is at same age as Phil Jones,but is 16 times cheaper than Phil Jones, and 15 time better.
Jones is playing in premier league for just 1.5 seasons. While JENKINSON made staggering 7 appearance for Charlton in LIGUE 1 (oh!, never mind) last year. He is eligible to play for England as well as Finland, but is deemed too good for England hence has decided to represent Finland, and there too he is considered too good for finland senior team and hence is playing in U21.
I guess these are plenty of reasons for us Arsenal Fans to be optimistic when our rivals are showing some intent and ambition in market.
But never mind, atleast we have money in bank.
