Football Club -- Part Deux

We have a thriller on our hands today.. The Blues face The Gunners..!!
A virtual six pointer for both the teams..!!
well, i for one as a Arsenal fan think that this match is far too important for us to lose.. in a way its going to define how well we are prepared this season and if can really take it till the end this time, rather than being next in line.. A win here and this will do the young gunners confidence an immense deal of good...!!
Fab is going to be missed for sure.. but yes we have the young jack wilshere now..hes gonna be a real performer this season.. and nasri is pretty much at his peak..only if Arshavin can turn up for this game, i think we have a more than decent chance..!! Go Gunners..

VDV the signing of the season by a country mile at the moment
Arsenal will dread playing Chelsea, Drogba will be looking forward to do what he does against Arsenal evertytime. If Chelsea recover today after the defeat last week and pick up the win it would hard to see anyone else challenging for the title.

Kids come and go, while Drogba is forever . Same ol' Arsenal: possession, dominance and what not. Net result: zero, nil, zilch. This match is easier for us than any other game, muhahahaha.

Two individual moment of brilliance separated two sides.BTW how did you feel when 18 year old kid was controlling the midfield against likes of mikel, essien and overrated Ramires. At least we didn't perform like the way your players were pawned last weekend.

Go Blue!!!
Just the awesome and flawless perfomance by us!!!
and i just cant understand why united is playing like this???:sneaky:
In bundesliga, bayern lost again!!! :nono:

Well, thats arrogance..If you had such a faith in blues y din u posted the same before the match. Moreover we saw the brilliance in Carling Cup(what round was it 2nd, 3rd or 4th...hardly matters though)

Having said all that I do agree that aalthough I do agree that Title id theirs to lose but its premier league and its just 7 games down...

politics, err, football makes strange bedfellows...arsenal fan supporting man city to vent their frustration , nice :)
And if u want to mention last week, one word: WBA

Chelsea didn't ask Le Prof to field 18-yr olds, it's certainly not a under-19 league.
And overrated ramires, yeah right, and Diaby, clichy (who had a decent game actually) et al were to be world beaters one day. It was this over-rated ramires who created the first goal, you see, and it's goals, not 56 million profits, which win football matches.

I am not supporting Man City but giving your arrogance a perspective to look the way you played last weekend and we don't have any regret to concede that we played poorly against WBA.BTW Man City is next chelsea, winning games with money.
But coming with ridiculous comments of kids and all shows the kind of illusion you have made across you considering the fact that you are still nowhere near us in terms of history, trophies and all.
18 year kid came from our youth academy and his performance was good. Ohh sorry you don't have any player from youth academy or even a youth academy.:D
We didn't spend 18 million quid for any of them. And the build up for the first goal was from the foul on Song, hope you didn't miss that part.It was showed separately just after the first half.56 million profit is being used for clearing Emirates debt so that we will be debt free till 2015.That is sustainable part of the business which Chelsea fans won't understand thanks to Roman(sugar daddy) sitting above them.Just look at the way Leeds United,Pompey have disappeared ,you wouldn't come up with the 56 million illogical point.
yeah u r missing rooney BADLY!!! :drinking::drinking::drinking:

and i agree with liverpool comment TOTALLY!!!

Well atleast it gives us the hope...Somethin to look forward to, otherwise its all gloomy here...

History--> really don't care about it. I am neither from London, nor am I a 50 year old following English league for the past 40 years that I will give a damn about a club's history. I'll rather support a club which is making history. If you really started supporting Arsenal for their history, good for you, but don't try to make everybody remember what Arsenal did 10 years ago whenever you lose a game.

Youth academy--> We do have a youth academy, and we have quite a good number of players coming through the ranks. And our captain is a Chelsea product himself. If Arsenal's youth academy were indeed so good, why can't they win any major trophy? Ohh I forgot, they will win it "next year", aint that right?

The Roman factor--> Have no answer for this. Don't know how it matters if the club is owned by a Russian billionaire. It's not as if he is buying out referees with his money to win games. And obviously, no one will believe that there are chelsea fans in this subcontinent who supported the club even before Roman took control, so better chuck it. :)

Last point was illogical,accepted.

Btw, the points you wrote are the same points that the Arsenal fans are dishing out for the last 5 years. Don't you feel rather bored while you type the same words again and again ?

And about the foul you are talking about, to quote your own le prof, "I didn't see it". 😛

A think a certain word created quite a rage here last time round.. Gloryhunters was it..??
Neways.. cumin to the game.. well, heartbreak it is..but u can do nothin but laud a team's performance playing without its most influential playmaker, the main striker, lead centreback.. and stil managing to keep chelsea on tenterhooks rite until the last 5 mins or so..!!
Wilshere just keeps on gettin better by game.. cud see dat wry smile on Capello's face thru d match..!! Nasri was good as always, Diaby did well.. chamakh..well, hes new and doin more than his part..!! Only Arshavin was off colour.. and hes far too important a player in these circumstances not to make a contribution..!! well, unlike the result.. the performance was good.. and yes, its jus 7 games into the season.. u can draw conclusions at your own peril...!! :sneaky:

P.S- i fear for the ' pool fans.. cum january and the club mayb in REAL turmoil...!! Spanish clubs r always watchin..!!

Then going by your logic,I will have to start supporting Man City because they are at the second position and they have thrashed you(defending champions). And even they are more physical than your squad with far more capable reserve players.I think this is the basic concept of "Glory Hunting".So after five years,if Man city wins something, you will be a Man city supporter.Great!!Got your point.

Youth academy--> We do have a youth academy, and we have quite a good number of players coming through the ranks. And our captain is a Chelsea product himself.
Oh I thought Lampard and JT were youth product from great West Ham academy.

The Roman factor--> Have no answer for this. Don't know how it matters if the club is owned by a Russian billionaire. It's not as if he is buying out referees with his money to win games.
Because Club doesn't need to look after finances and they don't have imminent danger of going in administration or bankruptcy. You club has got lottery to spend anything and capacity to compete for any player in this world.that's Roman factor.

Last point was illogical,accepted.

Don't you feel rather bored while you type same words of profit, spending again and again? We have been under huge debt for last 5 years and it will continue till 2015.So you want us to come up with different set of argument just to entertain people.Weird.We have debt, that's why we say. It's not that Le Professor is forging Arsenal Inc. accounts.
ame.

1. You do have a youth academy, and no doubt Terry is a product of the academy. But there is no one else except him, who can be called a successful product of the academy and is a part of your starting 11. Not even a substitute for that matter.
And as for the players coming through the academy, there doesn't seem to be any commitment from the manger to develop them, even if they have the potential. How many of them are regularly thrown in as substitutes or given a start in competitions like the Carling Cup?
The cause for that could be that there is no need to develop them. If Chelsea need a player, Roman will splash out the cash to buy the best player available for that position.

2. Well no one cared up til now, but UEFA will start caring from next year. The new regulations which will be valid from the next season, state that a club must not have post an annual loss of more than 39million (not sure about the currency), otherwise there will be severe restrictions imposed on them, including not being being able to participate in the Champions League and the Europa League.

Chelsea is a very strong side, no doubts about that. But they are so because of the money they have spent.

I just wonder what happens to the amount of money which Man U or Arsenal spends..no one seems to talk about that.
When these two teams were spending big on players in the 90s and early 2000 it was correct and when a team like Chelsea spends its wrong. I think this is sheer hypocrisy.

Regarding youth players Chelsea have been building on their youth team and the likes of Kakuta,Borini,Bruma,Van anholt and Josh McEacrhan are bright examples of young talent that Chelsea posseses . They have been given chance in the Carling Cup and also in the Premier League

Splashing money doesn't guarentee success. Look at Real Madrid for example. You have to build a team and Chelsea have done that successfully. They are a winning machine and people should accept that.

Ask Arsene Wenger why was he playing that 18 year old kid instead of Rosicsky.

By d way who overrated Ramires?? I would want to know that...
This overrated guy finally proved today why was he brought for. The amount of speed and energy and the great tackling he showed today was unmatched. It took some time for him to get used to the English game but finally he delivered today..

p.s: by the way these moments of brilliance separate a great team and a team which always flatters to deceive...

Apart from Josh McEachran, how many of them have come form Chelsea you academy. How many successful players have come from Chelsea youth academy till now?Ohh my goodness, how much have we(Arsenal) spend till now.We always had player coming from youth rank ,we didn't create the whole squad with the money unlike yours.
Chelsea is a winning machine.Period.If 4 Premier league titles have made you believe that, its good. But clubs have won much more than what you have won. What happened to winning machine last weekend?
RM are the most successful club on the planet, but a Chelsea fan is challenging the fact.Great 😃

Because Wilshere deserved a chance and he was decent today which many chelsea fans have also acknowledged.
Ohh we always flatter to decieve and by decieving and cheating we have won so many Premier league.Dude brilliant!!Simply Brilliant!!

Kakuta can be called anything but a 'product' of the Chelsea youth academy. He already had a reputation before coming to Chelsea.

And the point about United and Arsenal having money to spend in the 90s, i won't comment on Arsenal but certainly can on the United situation.

United's success in the late 90's and the early 00's was mainly due to the players who had been brought up from the youth team: Beckham, Scholes, Giggs, Butt, and the Neville brothers. Now those are 6 players i have mentioned, and in any given match, atleast 4 of these players started each match, barring injuries. Now you can't put that down to spending power, can you? That is the difference i am trying to highlight. True we had the power to spend at that point of time, but not in any circumstances as much Chelsea or Man City have at this point, even after factoring inflation.

And in the early 90's, the man who played the most important part in the club's success was a certain Eric Cantona. He was bought for a million pounds, which translates to about 7-8 million these days. Is that what you call 'spending big'? I do accept United spent a lot more than other clubs at that point of time, but as you mentioned splashing money doesn't guarantee success, an astute manager does.

All i am saying is, Chelsea has to attribute this success the money brought in by Roman. They were a decent team before that as well, and liked by a lot of people, including me. But as you said, it has turned into a machine now, steamrolling over opponents with their pace and power.

Ok when Arsenal brings young European and African players and start training them at their academy they are called products of Arsenal youth team. Sorry I didn't know that this things applies for only one club and not for all.

This is the same team which keeps on telling we are a young team,we need time etc etc..Gosh you have been saying this for years. I guess your young team which supposedly plays gooooood futbal has started becoming old. Please from now onwards give a new reason for why are you not winning titles.

I think you didn't get my point about Real Madrid . They are the most successful team no doubt ,what I was specifying that last year they spend so much money on players and yet didn't win any competition...So money doesn't guarentee success always..

I guess some people are becoming jealous from the success that Chelsea is getting of late. Yes they don't have a great history as ManU or RM but atleast they are creating history.

One more thing..why are you forcing the same ManCity point again and again?? Chelsea played badly and they lost. Mancini got his tactics right and Ancellloti didn't ..
One game doesn't decide everything. does it...like the defeats of Arsenal from Chelsea and WBA. Will that stop Arsenal fans from not thinking that they are going to win this years league which they have been dreaming of for years!!!!

I completely agree that Chelsea brought players from the money that Roman brought but you have to make a team out of these players which Chlesea did successfully. They also know that buying players is not the correct way of going around. So they have started to improve their youth academy and it would take time for a genuine world beater to come through the ranks.

All I want to say that Chelsea invested money for the correct players who can win the league whereas some big teams didn't.
