Hi PUYs,

I am a late joiner on the thread... cleared FRM Part 1 Nov 2012.. planning to take the Part 2 exam in May 2013. I went through the GARP website and saw that starting this year they will start publishing hardbound notes for Part 2 (dont know if they did that before) and these cost around $295 n will be shipped 01/28/2013. Do u think that the various types of notes available in the market would improve ? If not what is the best alternative to crack this consdering there's a lot of reading material prescribed and only 80 questions.

Best option would be to pay by credit card. If you do not have a credit card or your limit is insufficient, borrow a credit card from your relatives / friends and you can pay them by cash / cheque.

About debit card or netbanking... I doubt that these are accepted, but you can write to them or call and confirm.

The cost will be = (fees x dollar rate for the day) + bank forex charges

Bank charges would vary depending on bank and can be in the range of 0.5 - 1.5 per dollar.

hi.. i want to write the FRM part 1 exam in May 13. Can anyone tell me how similar are the curriculum of CFA L1 and FRM & the time required for preparation. Are the schweser notes out for FRM part 1 May 13... can anyone please post the link for downloading the notes.

@leolazer I see that there is some membership fee, which will be automatically deducted from the card if that option is not cancelled after registration. What is this deal? Do we need to pay annually?

Important for people who are using other's cards. You dont want them ending up with random transactions annually :)

Yes there is a annual membership fee.
But so far as I know, it is NOT auto-deduct unless you specify so. Membership is on manual annual renewal basis.
However, check with GARP for final confirmation.

Anyways you can also change CC after payment.

Annual membership is not compulsory.

Called up OM xerox just now and they said it will take another one week to be out.

Bionic Turtle and Core readings are available though.
