PISS002 has been launched! Here goes...
Hello Friends, hope you are enjoying PISS001, and even as you do, we are here with the second edition of the PISS002 (Pagalguy Interactive Super Selector-edition 2!)
We have decided to keep the rules simple, and make only minor modifications to the previous one.
a. This PISS002 is for the schedule of matches attached, yeah, 4 teams playing this, India, WI, England and Sri Lanka. So choose your Teams very carefully!
b. It will begin on 2nd June, 2006 and end on 28th June, 2006
c. A participant has to choose 7 players of his/her choice(no restriction on batsmen/bowler/keeper/fielder!). Now, here is where a slight difference comes in, 6 of these players are the normal players, which can be substituted as earlier.
However, the 7th player would be a Joker, a player, whom one cannot substitute through out the month. So, if you choose Tendulkar as your Joker, he remains in your team throughout the month, cannot be substituted out! Simple, aint it, 6 Normal players + 1 Joker!(That, is the only functionality of a Joker!)
The players can be chosen till before 2 hours before the 1st match of the match day, i.e. if the match is at 1930 hours IST, you can choose ur team till 1730 hours, after which the team will be frozen.
d. Scoring:- 1 run = 1 point, 1 wicket = 25 points and 1 catch/stumping/runout* = 5 points
*We will follow the scorecard mentioned in www.cricinfo.com. So, in case of runouts, if we have 2 people mentioned in the card, we give both of 'em 5 points
e. Bonus Points:- Player scoring a 100 or more gets 20 points bonus, same goes with a player picking up 4 wickets or more in an innings.
f. Substitutions:- The participant is entitled 4 substitutions during this PISS002. The substitutions can be done only on the days mentioned in the schedule attached. Please follow it carefully for substitutions.
g. Winner:- The participant with the most no. of points at the end of PISS002 will be delared the winner.
h. Tie:- In case of a tie, the Team registered first will be declared as a winner.
i. Abandoned Matches:- . In case of ODIs, if the match is replayed after being stopped mid way, the previous points will not be added(for e.g. like in the Champions Trophy finals between India and Lanka, the first final got abandoned and there was a replay, the points for the replay would be taken in account and not the first one.) However, if there is no replay, the Abandoned Matchs points will be taken in account.
j. As before, the scoring will be done by our statistician-in-charge Chetan Narula.
k. And last, but not the least, the software used for scoring has been provided by none other than Sahil Goyal, special thanks to him!
