- Any placement assistance
- Market/Brand value of the course

Guys need ur help in making a decision for my life wrt the EPGDIB from IIFT...

I am basically working as a Business Analyst with one of the top 5 indian mncs mostly dealing with Client Interactions, Customer Experience Management, Change Management, Enterprise Performance Management based on the balanced scorecard framework and Telecom Billing & Revenue Management.

Not here lies the catch: even though most of the work i do contains the "Management" word, I have not done my mba yet and having 3 yrs of exp in the same am dying to do so because I am sure without doing so ill not be able to show my true self.

At the same time I will not be able to leave my job and do a full time mba as of now because of some monetary problems.

So the only feasible and good option left for me is to do the EPGD in international business from IIFT. But i wanna do so more from the point of getting a new job mostly on the consulting platform. So with 4 to 41/2 yrs of exp + EPGDIB from IIFT, will i be able to land onto a good job??

I know the current post is too big but I believe this is the minimum quantity of words i can use to describe the greatest fight of my life and maybe I am one of the lakhs who might be facing the same sad song but do not dare to put their hearts words infront of the entire world..

It will be really gr8 to have u share ur experience on the same front because ur advise is valuable for me...

me too in the same boat.i hv a work experience of 3. 5+ years in IT in a major company and planning to do an executive MBA.I have applied for both programs ie IB an IM(Last date July 9ht 2010).i hope things move well.I tried to do some R & D on ROI of these programs at IIFT but couldn't get much info.

cn anyone help me wiht this?

just now got a interview/GD call letter for EPGDIB(2010-12) from IIFT delhi.Its on 24th this month.

Neone with EPGDIB(2010-12) interview call letter pls reply too this thread.it will be of great benifit.

Senior with EPGDIB,Pls share you experiences of GD/PI.

I have also received my interview letter for IIFT EPGDIB scheduled on 24th July.

I got to knw that interview consist of Essay, gd and PI.

Any more info, that anyone can provide.

hey all,

Got Interview call for EPGDIM also..its on 7th AUG..

The Program is supposed to be held on alternate Saturdays and Sundays.Does that mean a Sat in week 1 and a Sun in the next week or consecutive Saturday and Sunday in a week ?

Cn ne one make this clear?

Hi Sonoo,

There wont be any essay i believe so as it wasnt there in EPGDIB.

Selection process is not very difficult, just GD and PI. In my PI lot of question asked were from Mechanical Engg course as i m one ... and hardly any questions on my profile.

One more i notice was that number of seats were increased from what they were while PI stage .... i asked a prof that point of time he said seats are 60, but as per selection seat 88 students have been selected.

hi sushant,

if u have a good work exp(lke more that 4 yrs) then go for EXPGDM.
As far as I feel,regular classes will be much more benificial as compared to AV classes through Hughes.

Hughes conducts these classes through live satalite transmissin,in seelcted cities.
Its all about hw u want to learn..
For sure its two way..but the communication will not be simultaneos or instantaneous i guess,so it make give a rather ancient learning experince(rember old school :-o)

Hello All,

I appeared for EPGDIM Interview on 7th Aug at IIFT DELHI.
For EPGDIM there were 24 Candidates and my name was second in the list

All the candidates irrespective of the courses were made to sit in a common classroom ans later called one by one to meet the panel.

Here goes my experience:

I faced a panel of a gentleman n a lady.
After scanning my aplication:
GM: So u r an Electronics n Telecom Passout,so u must be knowing the recent Blackberry controversy making headline..!
ME: (unaware of the issue)Sorry m not updatd on that issue:splat:
GM:Fare enough
GM:So tell me about your job profile as a Software Engineer
ME:Gave an overview of my work in IT
GM:What is Blackbox testing?
ME:,,But still managed to say something.
GM:What is the difference between Validation and Reliabity?
ME:Managed to say few words well:cheerio:
Lady:Why had ur percentange dropped in 12th?
ME::lookround:Less motivated..This was all I could say!
Lady:Which book are you reading currently?
ME :The Secret
Lady::grin:
GM::grin:
GM:How will you manage to come to delhi on weekend for classes?
ME:
Lady:you have to maintain a attendance of 80%!
ME::wow:

Well the interview lasted for around 20 mins.At the end the panel seemed to be satisfied..so was I ..Except for the Black berry mobile thing:banghead:
