atul,
u need to write GMAT/CAT/XAT inorder to be eligible for applying to MBA program. GMAT is globally accepted exam and all the indian schools offering one year MBA program need GMAT as one of the crtieria.
with CAT score u can apply to SPJain, Great lakes and iim indore
with XAT score u can apply to SPJain, XLRI
since u have 4 years experience u can target ISB or great lakes. more details of the program u can get in college websites
hope it helps

Hi Puys,
I have total 7 years of experience in IT industry. I wish to pursue MBA(executive) in future do not want to be completely away from technical stuff . I mean, I love coding, designing etc but still want to learn how top management works I mean billing ,budgeting etc. I know its strange and you may be thinking when I like the programming why I want to go for MBA or why I am not trying for MS or M Tech. Actually after spending 7 years in IT industry I do not wish to start from scratch.I may get the current profile or manager role after M Tech etc but it would not very beneficial because sooner or later I can get there by my B.Tech degree and by experience or performance . I wish to get into a profile where I will not only have opportunity to look into code but I will be responsible to take key management related decisions . Something kind of 40-60 or vice-versa profile.I also know the kind of profile I am talking about can be achieved by becoming Development manager in product company but that will not take me far in future.I know one cannot be coder for whole life but still want to be that for at least 9-10 years more.
In nutshell , I want to have MBA degree but not cost of something(except money ). So please tell me if such profile after MBA exists or not.Is there any company which comes for placement for this kind of role in IT ?.I am not the one who wants MBA to be CEO one day or get high salary . I just want to keep my interest alive, strengthen my profile and yet grow. I know many guys who were engineers did MBA after 2-3 year of experience and now want to move back to Technical role.

Sir, Take a deep breath and think of a real-life problem and assume your help is needed to solve this.
e.g. An iPad app to tell you to stand near which metro car no at a particular time to beat the rush
If you spend more time thinking how to code the app -> Mtech for you
If you spend more time thinking how to popularize the app -> MBA for you
Some people would be confident more of than or vice-versa.
Hence moral of story is not obvious.
Job-market wants people who are problem-solvers neither a coder nor a media-speaker.
Being an IT guy, hope by "Information-systems - you don't picture a block of your development center floor in your sub-conscious mind".
Hey guys,

1. NMIMS
2. IIT SOM
