We have just started a similar "English language" venture for our company's House keeping staff. We have just finished identifying the volunteers and the students. (actually getting the students was the bigger task :D) I don't know what the student-teacher ratio was for you guys, but we have it as approx. 3:1. The volunteers and respective students fix up a convenient time for all, and try and meet up 3-4 times a week. It is not a time-bound activity.
Do you think you could share with us any learnings/tips/best-practices/teaching-methods that you might have picked up in the course of your own activity?
Though we have a course-structure in place now, I'd like to know the source and structure of the curriculum you'll followed.
