Hi,

I am currently working in a software services mnc with around 4.8 years of experience. Do you see any value add for a software professional like me in joining this course? Also, in case you have interacted with the regular MBA students, have you see software industry people taking these courses.

I know the decision ultimately lies with me and my interest but I am curious in knowing if the course is worth moving out of my comfort zone and taking a risk towards an unknown territory.

Great to know about your interview offer. Yes, there are many in our campus both from the EMBA as well as Regular MBA who are software professionals. IT companies too have energy domains and they have placed many from the regular batches in the energy consulting domain, so you are not taking any risk in joining this course.

Secondly as you may know, this is our 1st batch of EMBA. Our placement process has been initiated, and we are sure to set the stage for you guys in terms of placement packages.

Regarding international internship/ placement; we are in talks and hope our efforts would help the coming batches in foreign exposure. Placement is no worry, the role matters.

We have 2 guys from the IT sector, I have asked them to reply to you on email about the prospects for a IT engineer. Since I am a Chemical Engineer, I wont be in a position to understand your dilemma to the fullest.

Hi;

As you might have read, the Oil and Gas/ Energy sector has enormous potential in India owing to its significance to sustain the phenomenal GDP growth. I am sure in the coming years with market de-regulation, more and more investments are due in this sector making it one of the lucrative sectors in terms of employment.

Your work experience in the cement sector would surely help you relate with Oil and Gas sector and a MBA degree would surely help you switch sectors. Our EMBA batch students have varied profiles and work experiences ranging from IT, Banking, Mining, EPC to Fertilizers and Oil & Gas.
